We're Americans who are well traveled and have a brave taste preference. I really never want to give a poor review, but I must. It was disappointing.
The server was cool, friendly and laid back. The atmosphere was friendly and cozy. The service overall was on par with typical Italian style.
The food....had I not thought otherwise I would have figured they went out of their way to feed us so terribly in hopes Americans never return.
We ordered caprese....the tomatoes were Kroger style beefsteak in the middle of January... cardboard. The mozzarella was a little frozen in the middle. There was one small leaf of basil included.
Bread.... grainy, store bought, crust was rubber. I mean it was bad.
The meals come out....I really really hate to say this but I was genuinely worried they were messing around and served me cat food. I got the wild boar ragu. It was not good just by texture alone. There was no harmony in the flavors, pasta overcooked.
Truffle ravioli was barely cooked, over powering truffle flavor. It almost tasted like a chemical.
My wife ordered the burratta pasta. It came cold. And the burratta was cold, I believe it should be served near room temperature. It tasted like I was trying to whip something up quick for lunch before leaving for work. Yikes.

Read moreWe had an outstanding dining experience at this restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. As meat enthusiasts, we were thrilled with the quality of the dishes. The steak was cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The prices were reasonable, especially when compared to the touristy spots in the city center.
A standout dish for us was the beef tartare. It was so delicious that we ordered it twice! The sauce was incredibly tasty—truly unforgettable.
Joseph, the owner, was gracious and polite, ensuring we had everything we needed. Our server, Andri (I hope I’m spelling that correctly), was entertaining and brought a joyful energy to our meal. The atmosphere was relaxed, allowing us to enjoy high-quality food in a comfortable setting. The staff were patient and took the time to explain the dishes and offer recommendations. They were attentive to our needs, promptly assisting us whenever necessary.
Overall, this restaurant exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for excellent food and...

A great find off the beaten track, which we like. Local are not crazy busy and the tune coming from the restaurant we're great, mellow and not blasting.
On our first night it was quite, this would normally put us off but we sat down and instantly knew this was a great choice. The water and chef were outside and we had a laugh before we even sat down.
We spent the next three nights returning because of what I've just said.
The food was great, service fantastic & funny. Location quiet and the atmosphere great. Good value also. Thanks to the chef and young lad that each night served us. Ran around like he was on...
