Our wine tasting, which included eight of us both young (21) and old was one of our Italy highlights for certain. We unfortunately missed Matteo as our guide because of unfortunate health issues, but instead he had Filippo another wine Sommelier take us on our tour, and he was exceptional.
Our tour bus was air-conditioned, roomy comfortable
From the start, it was very easy working with Matteo, who was happy to customize any arrangements I might require because of my younger participants. I felt there were no risks of miscommunication with him immediately From the initial inquiry to the date of our wine tour he was very communicative and easily reachable.
We had a wide spread of wine knowledge with us that day and our tour guide. Filippo, was able to both teach our wine beginners how to fully understand and appreciate why certain wines tasted certain ways, but also on how to approach drinking and classifying wines. Because he is a Sommelier and not just a tour guide, he was also able to answer. Advanced questions not only about Chianti region, but on other wines throughout the world. Because they are a local company, we also had a tour of the surrounding cities and areas, and were provided history and insight, both into the growth of the region and into the history of wine development in Chianti. We stopped for multiple beautiful picture moments.
When at the wineries we were given preferential treatment with tours of the facilities and explanations of each wineries, philosophies At our second winery we were provided a lunch of multiple courses of which we could not even approach finishing including Antipasto, pasta salad, a pasta dish, bread and coffee if desired
All of our party of eight, including the beginners, intermediate and advanced wine drinkers were happy with the tour which lasted from 10 AM to past 5 pm. I had booked this tour to share with another family, with which we were traveling, and they have explicitly asked me to ensure that I posted this favorable review because they were...

On 16th April 2025, I had the pleasure of joining a private wine tasting tour organised by Matteo and his outstanding company, Your Vino, in the heart of the Chianti Classico region near Florence. Accompanied by two others, I experienced what can only be described as a masterfully curated and deeply enriching wine journey — one that exceeded all expectations.
Matteo’s passion for wine, paired with his remarkable expertise as a certified sommelier, was evident from the very beginning. He possesses a rare ability to explain complex oenological concepts with both precision and approachability, making the experience highly educational yet relaxed. His deep knowledge of the Chianti terroir, the grape varieties, and the winemaking processes of each estate we visited added incredible depth to the tasting.
What truly set this experience apart was Matteo’s impeccable choice of wineries and the seamless flow of the day. Each location we visited offered a distinct perspective of the Chianti Classico tradition, from elegant, award-winning labels to smaller boutique producers. The wines were not only delicious but also carefully selected to reflect the diversity and heritage of the region. Matteo’s warm personality and close relationships with local winemakers gave us a privileged insider’s look into Tuscany’s wine culture.
This wasn’t just a tasting — it was an immersion into the soul of Italian winemaking, made truly special by Matteo’s thoughtful guidance and outstanding hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend Your Vino to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable wine experience in Florence or Tuscany. Matteo is, without a doubt, a true ambassador of...
Read moreWe had a fantastic tour with Matteo! Everything was perfect. Matteo met us in central Florence and drove us in a new minivan out to the Tuscan countryside. We started with a truffle hunt in the woods and found both white and black truffles thanks to our amazing truffle dog. We then toured the winery and the historic villa with the winery’s owner. We concluded with a tasting and pasta lunch made with the truffles we found. Matteo even accommodated my food allergies and made sure to have all my food prepared gluten-free! We followed up lunch with a trip to San Gimignano with free time to walk around and shop. It was a very relaxing, well-paced trip with all the personal touches possible.
I should also mention that our flight to Florence was canceled, and we were delayed a day, missing the tour we booked. Matteo was incredibly understanding and rescheduled us for two days later, giving us our own private tour. He was so pleasant to spend the day with and very knowledgeable about wine (he is a trained sommelier) and truffles.
I would highly recommend this tour.for anyone visiting Florence. It was close to the city (less than an hour away) and very easy walking throughout. It was a great way to...
