This must be the best kept secret in all of Florence. We were on our way to the great Synagogue in Florence and walked past Leonard's. Initially we got a chocolate croissant for 1 EUR. It was unbelievablely good. Fresh, flaky, sweet but not too sweet...we saw them making fresh breads through their open bakery and we thought wow, we should come back later. After we went to the Synagogue, we came back and had a pizza of sorts that was mixed with artichoke, baby tomatoes and zucchini. The bread, because it's a bakery, is out of this world. Imagine eating pizza at a bakery. That's how good this was! We couldn't leave without trying the biscotti, so we packed up on nearly a pound of fresh biscotti of all different varieties...also just baked that day!

Its the kind of place I'd travel back to Florence to enjoy. We had the plain pizza and the amazing potato pizza which we adored, also got some biscotti and amaretti as a gift that were soooo nice, I had to get a bag for myself and it was all worth every penny. The place was clean and inviting and the lady that served us was polite, friendly and welcoming. Totally worth the trip to find...
Read moreBest Cantuccini ever. We found this fantastic little shop accidentally and spent a wonderful time there with delicious Prosecco, formaggio, Cantuccini and very friendly and pleasant people. Very nice are of Florence. We highly recommend this lovely and delicious place and we’ll come back for sure. In the meantime we bought a lot of different Biscottis with almonds, figs, pistachios and hazelnuts for family and friends and for our home in Vienna. We‘ll presumably need to order again...
