THE BEST EVER... We went there after a very long day of walking everywhere around Florence, famished and a bit disappointed with our initial pasta experience at Mercato Centrale, we barely made it to Don Fefè without high expectations to protect us from another disappointment. We were so exhausted, that we could barely talk. With a final effort, we managed to order a Margherita with Buffalo Mozzarella (kamut dough) and Marinara (whole wheat dough) To our amazement, the food arrived shortly after. My girlfriend was mad at me as I tried to take a picture before she could bite into it. The flavors were an explosion in the mouth, the chewiness of the doughs felt like pillows for our tired teeth, the tomato sauce like a heart-warming soup to our hearts, and the splash of olive oil tickled our tongues... We blacked out afterwards, paralyzed by the flavours. We have seriously never tasted, nay experienced anything similar... We love...

We were welcomed with a lovely amuse bouche that we hadn't expected. The menu had many options for pizza and it showed 4 different kinds of dough. We had a calzone and a pizza with raw ham, both were really tasty and the dough was fantastic.
For dessert, we ordered tiramisu and coconut/white chocolate/hazelnuts, both were a bit sweet (but hey, they're dolci after all), but loads of flavor.
Service was great and the whole time the restaurant was busy and full....
Read moreWe arrived in Florence late in the afternoon and stumbled across this incredible spot for dinner. We went right when it opened, and at first, it was quiet, but it soon filled up.
However the service was outstanding, warm and friendly. They offered various pizza doughs, and since we wanted a light starter, the staff recommended potato croquettes which was great and then we tried the traditional dough black truffle pizza and tiramisu for dessert and everything was fantastic!
The tiramisu was a highlight, It had just the right amount of sweetness, without being overwhelming. Exactly...
