One of the worst burgers I ate in my life.
I ate the Yankee burger and both me and my girlfriend are 100% sure something was wrong with the meat, it tasted extremely weird like it was already a bit spoiled.
Meat shouldn’t taste like that. And I'm a person who never returns his food...so this was first time for me returning food, and I was starving from exploring the city whole day. Thanks I guess? The staff didn't give me any explanation on what happened, so I think I was right.
I must emphasise that they didn't charge me this sloppy abomination of a burger, so kudos for that. The staff were otherwise nice, this review is strictly about the food.
From the ratings I expected good food, but unfortunately got something inedible belonging in the trash. The burger itself looked like it was put together in 2 minutes (this is the time it took them to bring it to the table lol), bread was cold and the sauce was basically nonexistent. So even if the meat would be good (which it was not) the burger itself was made like nobody cares about what they put on the table.
To charge 16€ for this quality of food in a restaurant that was practically empty ( 1 other table had people) there is no excuse for any so called "chef" to put this in front of a guest. At least if you care about what you do, otherwise I don't know why...
Read moreThe place is cozy and well curated, apart from lighting. Which is fine in the first room but definitely too strong in the second. It did not give a cozy feeling.
We tried a cocktail (mexican spritz) which was good, though a little too watery, but overall not bad, apart from the use of straw (which I haven’t asked to confirm but seemed like the old plastic ones…but, again, did not confirm).
Food wise we only had chips and the burger with the fried burger filled with scamorza.
Presentation was nice but the flavour itself was not impressive, the scamorza was probably not the best cause it only gave a watery texture to the sandwich but no flavour. Chips were good.
We do notice a table next to us tasting different things on the menú so might want to give it another try.
Service is what has not disappointed. Nice and friendly staff. ————————————-
In poche parole: staff gentile e disponibile, ambiente curato a parte le luci. Panino niente di speciale, buone le patatine. Cocktail leggermente troppo acquoso.
Avendo visto altri piatti proveremo a dargli una seconda...
Read moreWhen you step into Duccio’s you almost literally board a plane to another world! The service from the team here is beyond stellar and the food, drinks, and atmosphere are primo! You order from an eclectic menu (very reasonable prices) and then are ushered to the seating area where you are met with an oasis of friendly faces and a very comfortable (and air conditioned) vibe. Then the food comes. Spectacular. Nonnas meatballs and the Asian Dream are phenomenal choices, and I definitely recommend ordering the weekly special, and please don’t forget the fries! After the meal you can admire the hall of travels that operates as a guestbook and connects the two halves of the restaurant. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to find space for your own story? Duccio’s is a diamond in the rough and deserves to have a line of customers out the door and down the block. I’m sure this place won’t remain a secret for long so definitely give them a...
