Ok so I never leave reviews but I just have to say something of what my experience was and what was my expectations where and supposed to be. So before I went there I looked and read the reviews there where a lot of positive and less negative I thought good that a good sign.
I made my order and waited for my food. When It came it looked good. But as soon as I cut the pizza it looked off. When you mix water and oil they do not mix well and they don’t get along so they separate. I don’t know what they used as a liquid but it was separating all ready.
Then there was the sauce problem there was hardly on there sure there was some around the crust but in the middle of the pizza it just looked like it evaporated out of thin air. There was also not flavor. It’s just tasted like tomato. I order a margarita pizza. In the sauce you couldn’t taste any seasoning whats so for ever. It just tasted plane like they used some kind of a tomato can.
The crust did have a nice bite to it but off course with the separation of the oil and liquid in the middle it just tasted like a saggy pizza. I am very disappointed I know what Italy pizza is supposed to to taste like because I have experienced the best pizza that Italy has to offer. I’m sorry to say this this isn’t not really Italian pizza. It’s disgusting. It was so bad that I had to call my MOM overseas to vent my feelings. I didn’t even finish it. I just ate four slice and pretend to enjoy even though I really wanted to throw it in the garage bc that’s where it belong.
I have worked in kitchen before so I know what it’s like and what kind of pressure they are under. But I have been told by my chefs that (would u want them have it in a hurry and have it not fully ready for services or would u want them to wait so u can make sure it comes out good.) I wouldn’t mind waiting as long as it came out good. But unfortunately it did not it was not worth any money and it was not worth the stars if I could give it...
Read moreThey should change their name to Gustopo Pizza, you wait in line and we are a party of 4 only problem is 2 in our party made the wrong turn so they are 5 minutes away . Young lady who works there tells us oh nooooo you must all be here . I said no problem let the folks behind us sit first . They took 2 different couples and sat them . A gentleman who works there Sat us next only the 2 of us and I said we’re waiting for the other 2 in our party to arrive.he sat us without hesitation Now for the part that I will never understand, they young lady comes marching over and says , you must have your whole party here NOW.. I calmly said no worries they are just around they corner it’s raining very heavily and they made they wrong turn but will be here shortly. Let me put the pizza in for 4 pizzas and 4 drinks . She says. : you can’t do that we put the 2 tables together and I need the tables . Confused I said I know but I’m buying 4 pizzas and drinks and they’ll be here very soon . She said if they are not here in 2 minutes you must leave . Now she’s insulting and belittling, I said not to worry I’ll buy the 4 pizzas for here and 4 to go . I’m confused at what the difference is , the gentleman that sat us ( possible owner/manager) came over and I explained the situation and he also said IDONT KNOW WHAT HER PROBLEM IS !!! I really wanted to just stay and enjoy the pizza but I couldn’t gather enough will power to justify her behavior. We left . I was born in Italy and have been living in the USA 55 years , we also have some of the best pizza in in the World in New Haven,CT , but nothing could make me stay in a restaurant with an employee this rude and unprofessional. Pizza Looked Good just can’t tell you what...
Read moreI recently visited Gustapizza in Florence, known for its pizza and constant line of customers, but my experience was shockingly disappointing.
To avoid the wait for a table, I decided to order my pizza to-go. Right from the start, the service was off-putting—the guy taking my order was engrossed in his phone, casually chatting on WhatsApp as I stood there waiting for some basic courtesy. Then came the real frustration: I ended up waiting around 40 minutes for a single pizza. It was baffling since there were hardly more than four other people waiting for take-out orders.
While waiting, I observed several tables that had opened up, yet the servers made no attempt to seat the waiting customers. Instead, they were busy dancing to the music, filming each other, reviewing the videos, and laughing together—four servers entirely absorbed in their little performance, apparently too busy to notice the customers they’re paid to serve.
Fed up with the situation, I approached them to check on my order. They mumbled something about a "system glitch" and brought my pizza out a minute later—likely rushed by my evident frustration. When I opened the box, the pizza was already somewhat cold, making it clear it had probably been ready for a while, left sitting out while the staff was preoccupied with their antics.
This experience left me appalled, and I can say for certain that I will never be returning. This restaurant clearly values social media theatrics over customer service. I strongly urge management to prioritize staff training, customer respect, and a professional environment if they hope to maintain...
