Lo Schiacciavino - San Frediano — Restaurant in Florence

Everytime we pass this place in the evening, it is packed with people outside and inside. We finally tried it a few weeks back and we have been back 3 times now! They have delicious sandwiches in 3 different breads (even a gluten free option!!!) and you can either choose one of their recipes or you can build your own with 3 ingredients for 6 euros. Fantastic pricing and wonderful sandwiches! They also have a menu of the month available, but booking is needed for that. I've never tried it yet, but will! They even mentioned that they can arrange alternatives for vegetarian or gluten free dietary restrictions. They have an outside seating area as well as inside one. And an extra room in the back and basement for seating among the wine, super cool and local! The staff (and we had the pleasure to meet the owner too) have always been nice and friendly and they spoke English too, which made it easier if needed. Their menu is both in English and Italian. Best experience ever! The servers were so kind and friendly! We have very little Italian and they were patient with us and switched to English which was really nice. They made a nice wine recommendation and were otherwise super helpful! My friend forgot her charger at home and they kindly allowed her to borrow one. Overall, the food was great! We each had delicious salads and even more delicious tiramisu and cantucci! We highly recommend! It was so nice to enjoy a wonderful meal outside on the patio. Buongiorno,nella tanto decantata Firenze(San Frediano),mi fermo in questo posto,per un'amaro,chiedo all'ingresso, se potevo avere appunto un'amaro,mi risponde un ragazzo "volendo si"(non ho ancora capito la battuta,ma fin qui, diciamo tutto bene).Prendo l'amaro, dopo averlo, pagato,e mi siedo fuori, dove nel frattempo si era seduta mia moglie, che aveva acquistato un gelato...in una gelateria affianco,e che stava per ordinare un'amaro anche lei,al che ancora il giovanotto,dalla battuta facile,lo sento dire"falle pagare il tavolino"rivolto a mia moglie,rientro per ordinare un'altro amare,e dico al ragazzo ,"quanto ti devo per il tavolino" e lui, no niente è compreso nel servizio.Gli rispondo, prima ti ho sentito dire che mia moglie doveva pagare perché si era seduta col gelato,e rimane zitto.Insomma ,gentilezza e cortesia,nonché educazione,meno di zero,un postaccio.Al ragazzo dico"poi siamo noi i terrroni"(io sono pugliese)al proprietario,che ha giustificato il ragazzo dicendomi "ha fatto un paio di battute "(alle quali hanno riso solo loro,e questo al cliente che ti paga non si fa),non dico niente,perché sinceramente,il locale e lo specchio di chi ci lavora.Errata corrige,voto zero spaccato,e ritorno di tutto il personale a...
