Braceria San Frediano — Restaurant in Florence

Let me start with .. WOW!! We found this place by chance, but the name and logo told us it was what we were looking for. While looking at the posted menu, we were offered assistance by a very kind and knowledgeable waiter. (Who ended up being the owners son) He took the time to explain the different cuts of meet and the qualities each cut and type of cow offered. From there, he guided us to what proced to be a perfect steak for us. For each course, he explained the menu options, asked a few questions, and recommended a dish. Each was true perfection. Follow their recommendations. They take their craft seriously and truly strive to provide an amazing experience for each guest. I don't recall ever having a meal where I was more impressed with each course! And yes, this includes the wine pairing. He asked us a little about our wine tastes and then offered us two choices. Based on his description, we picked one. It was a perfect match for us and the steak. We would have eaten here every night if we had more nights in Florence. A must try! Also, they speak great English making it easy...

ESPERIENZA ECCEZIONALE !!! Non sono solita fare recensioni, ma questi ragazzi MERITANO DAVVERO TANTO! Un locale già maestoso dall’ingresso , dove ti accoglie la gentilezza , professionalità ed eccellenza , che raramente ormai si trovano in città come Firenze . Siamo stati portati al piano di sotto, dove puoi godere della tranquillità di una serata di coppia: locale curato , pulito e ben presentato … il personale , ci ha accolto con un prosecco di benvenuto e bruschette con lardo capperi e scaglie di grana. Menu ben chiaro , dove si denota la qualità del prodotto già da una prima lettura . Abbiamo optato per due antipasti: TARTARE CON TARTUFO E CREMA DI MELANZANE , qualcosa di eclatante , CROSTINI FANTASIA , deliziosi e squisiti… successivamente il cameriere, il quale ha fin da subito fatto trapelare una passione , dedizione e ATTENZIONE al suo lavoro, ci ha consigliato la bistecca che più potesse soddisfare i nostri palati, dopo aver ascoltato le nostre preferenze ed aver quindi intersecato i vari Gusti e le varie sfaccettature descritte : abbiamo pertanto mangiato una bistecca Danese KOBOF , che , prima ci è stata mostrata nel taglio … poi servita in maniera IMPECCABILE. Cottura TOP, al sangue, tipica della Fiorentina , impossibile da spiegare : VA MANGIATA… il tutto contornato da patate arrosto (non le classiche patate grosse , ma ben tagliate e ben condite) e pure’ di patate con tartufo … che ha lasciato i nostri palati soddisfatti e allo stesso tempo con una nota delicata … Abbiamo terminato il tutto con due dolci : SFERAMISU’ e LINGOTTO DI DUBAI: oltre al palato, anche l’occhio vuole la sua parte e devo dire che tutti i piatti, dal primo , fino al dolce sono DISEGNATI … questi dolci già parlavano da sé … Vino BOLGHERI: TOP Voglio ringraziare i ragazzi dello staff. Il responsabile di sala, attento, competente e soprattutto PAZIENTE … il quale , con un tavolo vicino che si lamentava per cose futili, provando palesemente a metterlo in difficoltà , non ha mai PERSO LA PAZIENZA, spiegando , argomentando e cercando di trovare soluzioni che il cliente non volesse accettare però : COMPLIMENTI!!! Il proprietario si è sempre accertato che tutto fosse perfetto…

CHE DIRE? Da provare , riprovare e prenderlo come posto del cuore . Occhio palato e pancia HANNO AVUTO DAVVERO SODDISFAZIONE IN QUESTA...

Worst experience in Florence. The girl who served us had zero knowledge, wasn’t speaking a word of English and her appearance was not ok either. When the salad arrived and it was super dry as it was in the fridge for many hours already pro prepared, I expressed that. A minute after, a gentleman(not dressed as the chef but more as the owner) came to my table shouting at me, I won’t say more. We got a premium cut meat, came cold, not just rare. When I asked for mayo or any kind of sauce, I will share photos of what I received. I have no words. We paid 180€....
