I go to this neighborhood pub weekly. We use to have amazing service and the owners were friendly. We even tip. One time, I came with my mother and service was poor, so figured it was just a bad day. Today, I went to lunch with my father. It was practically empty. I got my pizza in about 10-15 mins. My father ordered a simple hamburger, nothing fancy. 30 minutes later, still no meal. Another table that arrived after us got their burgers. When my father went to complain about poor service, instead of taking accountability and apologizing for the wait, the owner starting yelling and acted like it was a luxury we had good service in the past and said we were “bad people” for insulting his service. We left and he continued to chase us down the street yelling. This is EXTREMELY disappointing. I have recommended this restaurant to so many tourists over the years looking for a good restaurant outside the center. My family has lived here for nearly 20 years. I have been in Florence 3 years. The owner greeted us on our return home most evenings which was a pleasant surprise. It was also a great spot for a night cap and the atmosphere was great. I even got to watch Italy advance in the Euros which was an amazing experience. Tried a number of their beers but La Prima was tough to beat. Yet another reason I can't wait to...
Read moreWe’re in Florence for the 2nd time in 6 months visiting from Florida and have gone here twice in the last week. It’s so good. The traditional Italian food is delicious like the carpaccio and the pizzas! However we’re here for 2 weeks and sometimes you just need a cheeseburger and a beer and this place delivers. Fun, cool atmosphere and the beers on tap are really good. The cheeseburger is traditional American style fyi and they have real ketchup which made my 6 year old very happy 😂 The employees are kind and helpful and we’ll probably go there again...
