I don't know how this restaurant can be called a “pizzeria” when you order a pizza I ordered a PROSCIUTTO E FUNGHI which, as the word says, has to have prosiciutto, but what they gave me was tomato sauce, mushrooms and about 5 hams just placed on top and no prosiciutto and that's why it was €13? and then with the person who was going he ordered a chicken Milanese with the raw and almost nothing chicken was more breadcrumbs than chicken which was another €20 I would not return to this place and I feel that they should not charge the cutlery €5 something that should be FREE to add a Coca-Cola that they already gave him served in a glass but I knew from the taste that it didn't have gas so it was already open and in total it was €52 euros which I feel was a theft for everything I just mentioned No I would recommend it to anyone who goes, go to another place that is more accessible perhaps or worth what they pay

This is a great place with fantastic food which was tasty and freshly made. It is in a line of restaurants facing the Piazza Santa Maria Novella who all seem to have steak on the menu, and without trying all of them it would be difficult to say if this was better than next door, or two doors down. What I can say is we felt welcome, and well fed and loved rhe freshness and flavours of our food. We got chatting to lovely people next to us and discissed the menu and clearly they were well known by staff and were happy to share recommendations for other places in our conversation. We found a piece if plastic (from cream carton? And too big to be a choking hazard) in our tiramisu and the waitress dealt with it professionally and quckly. It did not cause a fuss as with all home made food these things can happen. It certainly did not put us off.

Excellent service, Bassem was our server, he was so attentive and helpful. The food was the best I’ve had since I got to Italy. Pici alla nana was the pasta dish I chose and it was incredible. Had a stew like feel in depth of flavor with a perfect al dente thick noodle. Tonnarello was the other pasta dish, it was exceptional, light in every way the other wasn’t. Perfect pair to share. We also had Tagliata, steak and potatoes, the potatoes had great fresh herb flavor and the steak was indescribable. It was a little more on the rare side than we were expecting but the flavor was superb. I will come back here as soon as I’m back in Florence! Bassem it was such a delight we can’t wait to come back and see you!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Slice of Heaven at Ristorante Vincanto!

From the moment we walked into Ristorante Vincanto, we knew we were in for something special. The place is spotless and so clean and beautifully arranged, it felt like walking into an Italian dream. The décor strikes the perfect balance between cozy charm and elegant flair, setting the mood for what turned out to be an unforgettable meal.

Now let’s talk about the star of the show... the pizzas! 🍕 Oh my. Every bite was a symphony of flavor. The Four Cheese Pizza, featuring a bold and perfectly balanced blue cheese, was rich, creamy, and utterly divine. The Margherita Pizza was a timeless classic... fresh, fragrant, and bursting with the simplicity that only true pizza artisans can pull off. We also had two other pizzas (names now lost to the joy of the moment!) that were equally incredible. Each one was lovingly crafted, and you could taste the passion in every mouthful (feel free to tell me their names from my photos).

And then there’s the staff… What a team! Attentive, kind, and full of genuine warmth. The service was top-tier & efficient yet unhurried, with smiles that made us feel at home. And speaking of home, the owner made us feel like long-lost friends. His kindness and hospitality reminded us of family dinners, where laughter flows and plates are always full.

If you’re looking for more than just a meal, if you want a moment, a memory, and a mouthful of magic, then Ristorante Vincanto is the place to be.

Grazie mille for such a perfect experience... we’ll be back, and next time, we’ll remember the names of all the pizzas... maybe....

BEWARE- DO NOT EAT HERE! We were eager to eat a nice dinner tonight and this location seemed promising. We sat down and put in our order right away because we already knew what we wanted. It took 10 minutes to get our waters, another 25 minutes to get our Caprese (tomato, mozzarella and basil) and I think they forgot about it because I had to ask about it again, and then we were asked to “wait another 15-20 min” for our steak. Sadly we overheard the group next to us complain that one of their people hadn’t even gotten her food for over 40 min and we heard them personally tell her “give us 2 min” and they said this at least 2-3 times in a span of 20 min. After the last time they told her that, we decided to pay for our food we had eaten so far (caprese, water, and glass of wine). Our total order cost us about $16 and then they had the audacity to still charge us the $10 cover charge. This is the first place in all of Italy that has had this type of service. No recognition from the owner either, he didn’t even want to come see us. As we were paying, we noticed about 4-5 other groups complaining of the exact same thing. Don’t eat here....

I was going between 2 and 3 stars and I landed on 2 so let me start out with the good.

The Good: The pizza was very solid. If you are just looking for pizza not a bad place to go.

The Bad: They initially took for ever to take our order. Like a good 20 minutes or more we had gotten bored looked up another place and we're about to leave when they can up. We ordered a pizza 2 glasses of wine and a Baratta salad. We waited another 15+ minutes and asked for our drinks multiple times. TBF after that they did bring us our food (without the water or wine we asked for) then immediately brought out our water and wine and the rest of our service was fine. But the Baratta salad was a huge disappointment. Amount was fine, maybe even generous for 16€ but the quality was terrible. It was like 2 tomatoes worth but they were not ripe at all, like the kind you get at a grocery store after all the good ones are picked through. And it came on a bed of iceburg lettuce with 0 basil. Overall just very disappointed in the meal.

(P.s was going back and forth between 2/3 stars and went with 2 mostly because I did not love the owners response to other...
