Absolutely appalling service. So disappointing. Came across this cafe on Google when looking for somewhere for coffee/brunch. On first impressions the cafe seems quite charming with a nice menu at a reasonable price point .... all was well until we asked to move tables to a window seat with a street view. We were looking forward to having a coffee & glass of wine - watching the world go by in Florence. We were abruptly informed that we should not have moved tables (despite another couple doing exactly the same prior to us) - the waitress advised it created a 'cleaning and billing' challenge. Shell shocked - we remained polite and asked for our bill to settle the original table so we could start a new bill to avoid confusion. At this point the atmosphere became extremely uncomfortable with 2 of the waitresses becoming aggressive in attitude. Our bill was literally thrown on our table, which included 2 glasses of wine we had ordered but were never served,. This was questioned and we were still prepared to drink our glasses of wine, however the wine never came and the bill kept returning, still with the wine charge on. It soon became very apparent we were not welcome and only when we physically went to the till were we able to amended the bill. We were that taken aback by the whole experience my partner asked why we they were so rude, only to be sarcastically told, 'have a nice day. Such a shame as the cafe has so much potential and the whole experience was ruined by 2 rude waitresses that are clearly in the wrong job. Safe to say, we won't be going back. We travel regularly, love Italy and are used to high levels of hospitality. Was so shocked with the attitude of the staff, we felt compelled to write a review. Please avoid...

I normally don’t write reviews. Ever. But I need to tell you about this so you can keep it in mind if you go here. The food is pretty decent and lives up to expectations but the service is absolutely distasteful. I went there the day before this horrible experience as well and the food was good but the service was already mid. However, I decided to return the next day because I was craving the Açai Bowl again. I went in and sat down when a woman threw the menu onto my table without saying anything or looking at me. After a while she came to my table, with a sigh, to take my order. I asked her if they still served the açai bowl and she said no (mind you it was 14:30) and told me to go to the pizzeria two buildings down the street. I decided to stay reasonable and say ‘okay well I’ll go there then, thanks’. I grabbed my stuff and I heard her say something to her coworker in Italian and then she said ‘açaí bowl’, so I knew that they were talking about me, and they started laughing loudly while I was still in the restaurant. I walked out, said Ciao and they didn’t say anything back. To be honest, it felt as though I was back in high school and was bullied by the mean girls. Terrible experience. Conclusion: food is fine and healthy so I do recommend that but keep in mind that you might be treated...

Avoid. Coffee tastes TERRIBLE and they didn’t even fill our cups. I stepped away to buy pastries and came back to pick up my coffee. When I brought it back to my family we opened the lids and saw they were barely filled halfway (photo attached). Watered down and low quality. I saw an Italian speaking native have a nice looking cup of espresso while I was waiting for my order so they must not put any effort for tourists.

Edit: After seeing some other reviews it seems they gave better coffee to other patrons. Not sure why they gave us what they did. Even when I order takeaway from other coffee shops they fill our cups to the top. Suspect they are racist against Asians/Americans. We did not receive the same treatment as the other positive reviewers.

If you don’t mind the walk, I’d go to Ditta Artiginale across the bridge. Always a line and had a great experience yesterday. Prefer that side of Florence anyway, but did not have time to venture far from our stay as we had a train to catch.

Service here wasn’t great either. Spend your...

The worst brunch experience in Italy so far. The food was served ice cold. I was very looking forward to the tuscano sausage but it was cold, so were the bread and the eggs. I asked the server to reheat it, he called another waitress and she asked me if I wanted to cancel the order😅 I said maybe just heat it up since I was very hungry. And they actually just put all the food in a smaller plate and heated with microwave 😅😅😅 My friend ordered pancakes which she said was hard and cold and absolutely horrible. The only good order was the cheesecake, which we only ordered because the wait time was soooo long and we were just starving. What’s more was that I found egg shells in my fried eggs. I called the waitress, she came over and asked me to take them out for her so that she could see if it was egg shell 😅 when she saw it was, she just said “I guess that indeed is egg shell” and just said “sorry” and shrugged and walked away. 😅

It was so unfortunate that I didn’t even get to try their food. This is just the rating for their service. I was told to wait 5min and it ended up to be about 15-20min with two empty tables from the very start when I entered the restaurant. The waitress in black (most likely the manager) has terrible attitude. I was super thirsty by the time I sat down and I took out my bottle to quench my thirst. She gave me a whole lecture on how it’s not right to bring my own bottle and drink in an Italian restaurant. I wouldn’t have to if she had served me water. I couldn’t be bothered to make my order and immediately left the restaurant. This was the extend of my experience with the restaurant. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend even if the food is good. It’s just not the dining experience I would go for.
