Steakhouse Da Aldone — Restaurant in Florence

We had two lovely meals here, Da Aldone was certainly one of the best places we ate while in Florence. The gentleman we presumed to be the manager was first class, he guided us well on our wine choices. The rest of the staff, like him, were polite friendly and helpful. We started with bruschetta for me and caprese for my good lady. The bruschetta was amazing, I don't know what they do with it, but goodness, it was a cut above. The food particularly the steaks were spot on, we didn't have the steak Fiorentina here, but it looked delicious. We had roast potatoes and a vegetable side dish with our steaks, the veggies were Aubergine, Courgette & peppers and were fabulous. With each steak, there was a dash of three different dips, all outstanding, but the orange dip was a revelation, the owner told us it was a reduction of carrot & peppers, and it was sensational and packed a punch. The steak was perfectly cooked, rare for me and medium rare for my wife. We topped off with delightful desserts, deconstructed cheesecake for my wife and pistachio cake & pistachio cream for me. This was hands down the best meal we had in Florence, and the best steak we’ve had anywhere! We came the first night to try the popular Steak Florentine - divine! It was cooked to perfection and simply delicious. The flavours, the experience was fantastic. It was so good we went back the following evening! This time we wanted to try something new so we asked our fantastic waiter Xhuljan and he recommended a Wagyu experience (off menu). Wow, wow, wow! My partner and I hadn’t tried Wagyu Steak before and this experience was incredible. We had an appetiser, first course and then the steak itself all for 90 euros each. It was such a beautiful evening filled with delicious food, wine and amazing service! The waiters and especially Xhuljan made us feel so well taken care of and has made our trip! I had a truly wonderful experience at Steakhouse da Aldone. From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive and professional, even asking right away about dietary restrictions and allergies, which I deeply appreciated.

The highlight of the evening was the Bistecca alla Fiorentina – perfectly cooked, of outstanding quality, and definitely one of the best I’ve had. I visit Florence often and have tried many restaurants, but this one stood out as exceptional.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with the staff making us feel right at home. Their friendliness added so much to the evening, and to our surprise, they even offered us dessert as a treat – a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more memorable.
