Mò Sì caffetteria alla vecchia maniera — Restaurant in Florence

For my first day of erasmus I decided to taste Mo sis' cafè. Ive been almost everywhere in Italy last year and this coffee it is not super at all. But above all, the place is claustrophobic, not space for clients and below average in terms of decorations.Look at the table and the unconfortable chairs, very cheap. Miserable assortment of pastries, same croissant very dry or Id say filled of air! When you bite it it deflates and you hold a piece of sweet paper with sugar on top. Definely not very gnammy. During my breakfast the funny owner's dog was rubbing his butt on the floor leaving some "skid marks"...very nice. I suggest not to belive what is written then, to me looked a scam and overpriced place for what they offer. The croissant costs more then others, check by yourself. I believe that the owner asks to clients a positive review under some sort of benefits in return. I can say that this place doesnt deserve the first place on tripadvisor, and on it Ive written the same review but looks like that the owner has some protector working for tripadvisor. Thanks Google I can leave an honest review. Looking forward to review other top bars and prove they deserve the position. Dont trust tripadvisor, thats mafia! Anyway I will consider other places for sure. P.S. The owner doesnt have the POS terminal because he does black billing, no track using cash as payment and he justifies this mafia saying that "commissions for using a POS are high so we dont use it and as conseguence we keep our prices low". Miserable...

피렌체에 도착하고 숙소에 체크인을 하기 위해 이런저런 짐을 들고 가던 중에 너무 지쳤어요. When I arrived in Florence and was heading to check into my accommodation, I was carrying all sorts of luggage and felt exhausted. Quando sono arrivata a Firenze e stavo andando a fare il check-in in alloggio, portavo con me tanti bagagli e mi sentivo davvero esausta.

그래서 까놀리를 먹으러 잠시 카페에 들어왔죠. 그리고 샤케라토를 함께 시켰어요. So I decided to stop by a café for a cannoli. I ordered a shakerato to go with it. Così ho deciso di fermarmi in un bar per mangiare un cannolo. Ho ordinato anche uno shakerato.

이탈리아인들처럼 서서 먹으려고 하는데 괜찮으면 앉아도 된다고 해주고 물도 무료로 제공해 주었어요. I was going to drink standing up like the Italians do, but they kindly told me I could sit if I wanted to, and even offered free water. Volevo consumare in piedi come fanno gli italiani, ma mi hanno detto gentilmente che potevo sedermi, e mi hanno offerto anche dell’acqua gratuitamente.

이곳의 분위기는 너무 친절하고 일하는 사람들끼리도 너무 사이가 좋아 보였어요. 손님들에게도 항상 웃으면서 대했죠. The atmosphere was so warm and the staff seemed to have such a great relationship with one another. They always greeted customers with a smile. L’atmosfera era davvero accogliente e il personale sembrava andare molto d’accordo tra loro. Accoglievano sempre i clienti con un sorriso.

여기에 귀여운 강아지가 있는데 그 강아지도 만지는 걸 허락해 주었어요. There was also an adorable dog there, and they allowed me to pet it. C’era anche un cagnolino adorabile e mi hanno permesso di accarezzarlo.

그러던 중에 제가 사고를 쳤습니다. 샤케라또를 엎은 것이죠. But then, I made a mistake—I accidentally spilled the shakerato. Poi, però, ho combinato un guaio: ho rovesciato lo shakerato.

그런데 다들 괜찮다고 해주고 제가 치우려는 것도 만류하고 친절하게 모두 치워주었어요. Everyone reassured me that it was okay, stopped me from trying to clean it myself, and kindly cleaned everything up for me. Tutti mi hanno rassicurata dicendo che andava tutto bene, mi hanno impedito di pulire e hanno fatto tutto loro con molta gentilezza.

그리고 새로 커피도 만들어 주었어요. 돈을 지불하겠다고 했는데도 괜찮다고 해주었습니다. Then they even made me a new coffee. When I offered to pay, they told me it wasn’t necessary. Mi hanno anche preparato un nuovo caffè. Quando ho provato a pagare, mi hanno detto che non era necessario.

정말 잊지 못할 피렌체 여행의 좋은 기억으로 남을 것 같습니다. This has become such a special and unforgettable memory from my trip to Florence. È diventato davvero un ricordo speciale e indimenticabile del mio viaggio a Firenze.

그리고 제가 이탈리아에서 먹은 커피 중 가장 맛있었어요! And it was the best coffee I had in all of Italy! E devo dire che è stato il caffè più buono che abbia bevuto in tutta Italia!

We were in the area and were looking to grab a coffee, some pastry and some sort of a sandwich for breakfast. Looking at Google reviews, we saw this place had good ratings.

It must be said that the staff was extremly friendly and coffee was great as expected. But sciacciatas were underwhelming. The pomodoro and mozzarella one had a salad that was not that fresh anymore and there were just two spices of tomato and mozzarella in there, so there was mostly bread. We ordered some pastry as well and that was good, but a bit dry. Maybe we were just unlucky or visited at the wrong time, but that doesn’t change oue subpar experience.
