UPDATE: just to make things clear: we did forget to pay and when your staff called us back we immediately went back weâre not mad about âitâ aka âwe didnât get away with not paying the billâ. i still give an objective overall review about the food and environment Just because we accidentally leave without making the payment doesnât mean you can justify for the fact that you added something on the bill. Instead of being pissed with my friend who doesnt speak Italian and called me âputtanaâ when i came in to explained the additional fee, you can check your security camera or make us, or any future customers, pay beforehand. we left a bad review only for the staffâs attitude and itâs for you to twist it and make it seems like weâre doing this because âwe wanted to get away without payingâ we had some sweets, a coffee and a granita. the sweets are really good, the granita is a little bit sweet for our taste but overall it was a nice experience until we payed the bill. there was maybe a misunderstanding between my friend (who doesnât speak italian) with the cashier: there was an extra fee for something we didnât order. i came in and explained to her in italian and she was upset about that and kept telling me that my friend was the one who told her what we had ordered. i told her that maybe because my friend didnt understand what she said. the cashier was pissed, handed me the extra fee and when i was leaving the store, she was picking an order for other guests and she said âporca puttanaâ. not sure if she was talking about me or not but probably, she was upset. writing this in english so i can explain the situation better. still going to come back if possible for all of the...
Read moreThis is my 2nd year visiting Genoa and by far this is my favourite pastry shop in Genova - itâs honestly so great! Iâd give 10 stars if I could.
The coffee is so good, but the pastries - wow, truly they are all divine & you actually want to try every single one.
The croissants are some of the best Iâve had: golden brown, flaky with a light, airy interior - as is the pain au chocolat & pain au raisin - all just delicious. In fact, everything is all made with attention to detail and of a high quality. You can immediately feel and taste this. All the sweet treats in fact are tempting! I visited several times during both visits to the city.
The interior has a welcoming vibe too, cosy, and comfy to enjoy your time and everyone working is super friendly, and if youâre unsure which pastry to choose, theyâll help with excellent recommendations.
Thereâs also lovely outside seating too and the location is superb. I love this place - and I know Iâll be back...
I went to get an excellent and tasty Cellini coffee at the standing counter in this pastry shop located in the historic center of Genoa near Via Garibaldi. There are some tables inside and also outside with a view of the street. In this pastry shop you can also have breakfast and lunch and it has a vast selection of sweet and savory dishes. As for the staff I agree with other comments that they are always under pressure in the morning when I went and therefore you have to be patient and wait your turn also because there are two of them: however the two girls are welcoming, smiling, competent, friendly and available while the prices are...
