I am appalled at the service I received here. I was rushed to a table after standing at the bar, given a shoddy, scrapped-together menu (which lists none of their wines), and when finally waited upon 10 minutes later, shouted from my seat after I asked to get a drink. I hurried to put on my jacket and get up, but the scowling waiter pressed on, "You must move! People are waiting!" over and over, even as I nodded and had clearly voiced my understanding of the situation. I stumbled, half-clad, to the bar, where I waited 10 minutes without any further service, and left. I give two stars only on mercy that perhaps there was a cultural misunderstanding here, although there was certainly no attempt at understanding my situation from the staff. I am flabbergasted that an establishment which prominently labels itself a "Wine Bar" (all over its facade) treats a person trying to...

I absolutely loved this ristotante. I wanted a more traditional experience rather than touristy, and I was not disappointed.

I cannot remember the name of my primi, other than it had pesto. So delicious! My secondi was the hen with potatoes. I wanted red wine for my meal and asked the waiter to pick what he thought was best. He suggested a different wine for each course, and both were superb. I ended up buying a bottle of one of them, and regret not buying the other! They are also an enoteca/wine shop so there are many wines to choose from.

For dessert I opted for the pear cooked in wine. Amazingly tasty.

He was incredibly charming and funny, as was his colleague who assisted me at the counter. I was fortunate to get a table right when they opened but it appeared that all of the other tables in the front room were reserved. Recommend making a reservation to be sure...

This was a wonderful experience for myself Christina and my husband Wilhelm. We traveled from Australia to visit beautiful historic Genoa. What an amazing and intriguing city. We were recommended Migone by our host. What was striking was how we were cared for. I am seriously anaphylactic to nuts and especially pine nuts (not great when traveling in Genoa). The staff took care of everything from scratch for me, cooking a meal totally separate for me! What a service. Such friendly welcoming people, such care, and such absolutely delicious food. We were so appreciative and can not recommend this restaurant enough for quality of service, attention to detail. care, and warmth and delicious food. Thank you to all of the staff, You are all wonderful. We will see you again, Christina &...

Wonderful family owned restaurant we found wondering the streets of Genoa. We first stopped in the wine shop and were enchanted by the older gentleman in the wine shop. They enticed us to return later for dinner so we canceled our plans and did so. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and homemade. The pesto in Genoa is truly out of this world. We loved the friendly family vibe of this restaurant.

Sometimes the staff can make the entire place. We came in for a quick lunch while walking the old town. The waiter was very helpful and friendly and gave his best recommendations. I was pleasantly surprised when he asked my friend if he wanted more food as he had finished his plate and they then made another portion free of charge. Next door is their enoteca so that I could pick up a bottle of the same wine we had during lunch.
