Hambù — Restaurant in Lecco

This is a burger joint of a good quality and surprisingly recognisable local taste. They have a variety of local meats and alternatives as well as 5 different bun types. Local drinks and several non-burger dishes (including meat steaks). Their fried potato style fit my taste very well. I personally enjoyed Luganese burger with a very flavourful meat burger, vegetables, pickeled/fried(?) mashrooms and a tender cheese sauce. Combined with fries and local cola (a waaay better taste, then well-known brand bottled cola) it was a meal of approximate 1000 calories, which many would consider excessive but it was perfect for me today, since 15km of walking over the hills takes some energy.

Location is very good, close to everything yet not in the middle of tourist rush.

View is great (direct 50m lake view across a street).

Service was quick and spot on. English language was not a problem.

Cleanliness and design are up to standard, no complaints. Overall impression is that the place was designed to be semi-hipster semi-americana burger joint, and it works for me.

I wasn't hungry. So I may say it is one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Bun was defo the best: crispy outside, soft inside, tasty but not hiding the taste of the other ingredients. Meat was juicy, ham(pardon, idk how to properly call this one) was melting in my mouth. Sauce had proper amount: not too much but just exact the required amount. Tbh, fries were too much for me but they were great as well. Service was nice, fast and not annoying. Omg, no one came in the middle of my food fiesta asking if it's is ok. Yes, it was ok!...

One of the best hamburgers I've ever eaten, the waiters are very kind and the service is quite fast. The hamburger is a bit pricy, but given the quality and the quantity (big hamburger with a nice portion of amazing fries) I think it is worth. I have been there 4 times and out of those, just once, the fries were almost burnt (still the meal was quite good and enjoyable). If it wasn't for that one time in which the fries were not that good, I would have rated it 5 stars....
