I ordered a sea bass grilled in tomato sauce (at least that’s what the menu said) for €20 and wine. The taste of the white fish was good for that price, the sauce, however, was not “tomato sauce”. So 4 stars as a base. -1 star for very poor English. So poor that the waiter upsold me 2 side dishes, one of which was supposed to be “vegetables” and turned out to be just 6 pieces of aubergine. -1 star for a scarce wine selection “by the glass”. They only have 1 type of “house wine” by the glass, but the waiter could not even tell me the wine type or country of origin. The house wine is average in taste, but cheap. +1 star for delicious olive oil and bread. Prices for certain items are very misleading. Be very careful when ordering. Prices for meats are per 100g which I knew when ordering so I ordered 300g of a steak assuming they’d give me something around that. They instead plated a 550gram steak without telling me and made me find out when I was going to pay. Upon inquiry then why I got something that’s nearly twice as much as I ordered, they told me the minimum steak size they had was 450g. No one told me that when I ordered and I certainly wasn’t made aware at any point during the dinner. These guys are awful and incredibly misleading and will make you pay whatever they decide to put on your plate, even if it’s not what you asked for. A local recommended this restaurant, but we had a terrible night unfortunately. The swordfish tasted like it was first put in an ashtray, then hauled through a chimney and finally dipped in a combination of acid and tar. The steak was pretty much not touched by the chef. He probably bought the cow at the market late afternoon and cut a piece off right before we arrived. I’ve seen traffic lights less red than this steak. In the end, the lovely waitresses removed our main courses from the bill, but we still had to pay for the fries they secretly ordered at the McDonalds, then kept in a fridge for 48 hours before serving it on a plate for 5€.
