MUMU RAMEN — Restaurant in Livorno

The first ramen in Livorno, I can say that I am very happy. I have tasted ramen all over Pisa, Florence and Livorno looking for an authentic Japanese ramen, and I found that this one is among the top. I liked especially the ramen with slices of pork on it, I believe the name was Tonkotsu Ramen, the egg was cooked perfectly and the broth tasted good as well. This one on the picture is wonton Ramen, I wouldn’t say that it was authentic Japanese, but it tasted good, looked so pretty, and the wonton was so good, unlike any wonton that I have eaten before. Il ristorante è cambiato rispetto a prima (Takumi). Non vi è piu la possibilità di mangiare all you can eat e il sushi è stato rimosso dal menù. Il piatto principale sul quale il ristorante punta principalmente dopo la ristrutturazione è, come si può intuire dal nome, il ramen, il quale non è affatto male. Penso che i noodles fossero pochi per un piatto di ramen come quello ma il sapore non lasciava a desiderare. Quello che ho provato, in particolare, è quello con ebi fritto, il quale è messo sopra al ramen e quindi assorbe tutto il brodo sfacendosi, quindi non consiglio particolarmente quella variante, ma sono sicuro che i piatti senza fritti siano molto meglio di quello provato da me. Ho provato anche i ravioli alla griglia, i quali erano al livello delle mie aspettative. Per dolce ho assaggiato i dorayaki, che vengono serviti con cioccolato fondete, quindi non sono riuscito a distinguere il sapore della crema di fagioli. Ho speso, insieme a 2 miei amici, 24 euro per: Coperto, 2 bottiglie d'acqua, 3 ramen ebi (il piu costoso del menu a 14 euro dove gli altri partono dai 12), 3 piatti di ravioli alla griglia da 5pz e un piatto di dorayaki. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. We arrived shortly after opening with no reservation. The restaurant is huge and decorated very nicely giving it a cosy feel. The service was kind, friendly and super attentive. Ordering was fun and fast on the table iPads, with English translation. The food was incredible! We tried a wide variety of dishes and all were super tasty, packed full of flavor - delicious!...
