We also enjoyed the Montanara as a starter — crispy, savoury, and a perfect way to begin the meal.

Literally, the best dinner we had in all of Tuscany! Lucca has lots of great food, but this place exceeded them all! I went there with my parents and sister and we all shared the dishes, which were exceptional!! We started with the Montanara which I am still dreaming about today and wish I could have more! The spaghetti with shrimp tartar was the best dish of the night. But the tempura prawns were also a favorite. The owner saw we were going to use google translate on the menu, and came over personally to explain each item of the menu!! So sweet. We sat outside on the street and it was the most beautiful atmosphere! So incredible lovely!
