My partner and I came for dinner with our young child and were thoroughly impressed at the level of service and the quality of the food. Our waiter (shout out to Domenico) was very attentive, explained all the food in detail (in French and English!). The restaurant even had high chairs for our little one. I liked the fact that you pass the bar and kitchen before making your way upstairs to the dining area - all the staff were friendly and stopped to say hello.

On the food, I had the confit veal which was exquisite: crispy on the outside and so tender it melted in the mouth. A side of roasted potatoes was the perfect complement. I should add that we had a couple of finger food appetisers which were a real highlight, mixing textures and tastes (the local sausage meat encased in a dried apricot was my favourite - so much so that Domenico even told us where to buy it!). The bread ice cream was truly novel and capped off a great dining experience.

Definitely worth the five stars and...

We had such a wonderful dining experience here! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and professional — every detail was taken care of, making us feel truly welcome.

The food is outstanding — not only beautifully presented but also full of flavor and creativity. Each dish felt special and unique, with high-quality ingredients and perfect preparation. The combination of textures and flavors was impressive, making every bite a real delight.

The atmosphere is cozy and elegant, perfect for enjoying an evening out with great food and good company. The drinks were also excellent and complemented the meal perfectly.

If you are looking for a place with excellent service, a refined atmosphere, and food that is both delicious and special, I can highly recommend this restaurant. It is definitely...

What an exceptional meal on a special festa evening. We did not make a booking yet they managed to sort a table for us at a moment's notice. We had been slightly underwhelmed by the food that we had eaten in Matera despite following local recommendations.

This food was exceptional and although it was not the least expensive meal we have eaten in Matera it was definitely the best value for money.

The pork and the pasta with tartufo and gamberi were clear winners though the other dishes ordered were also fantastic. The desert recommendations were also brilliant. This is a meal that we will remember for a long time....

Absolutely wonderful. Definitely our best meal on our Italian trip around Puglia and Basilicata. Food and staff were brilliant. Staff were warm, friendly and had good English. It was a very busy night but they handled everything perfectly. Following the complementary amuse bouse, we had taglioni with red shrimps and truffle oil (€19). My partner had a very generous portion of mixed fried fish including whitebait, squid and shrimps (€23). The bottles of wine started from around €25 or so. Highly recommended and very much a 'must go' restaurant.
