Great bruschetta, alright pasta and okay wine for very affordable prices! We got a bruschetta starter to share with 4, which were great, 4 kinds (truffel, pesto/tomato/mozzarella, Blue cheese/mortadella, roasted bell pepper), all excellent with the truffle one being the best for €10, each had a fresh pasta (€6-8), the one with tomato&ricotta was okay but nothing exciting, perhaps a bit more garlic needed, the one with sausage and ricotta was okay too, though could have used some more salt or perhaps parmesan, the best one was the chef's choice, then with bell peppers, tomatoes, croutons and straciatella. For dessert we shared the sweet bruschetta with whipped cream and (cherry?) Jam, which was good for a bite but more was definitely not needed. The red house wine was alright and very affordable. All in all a very nice place to have lunch or dinner, especially the bruschetta, a name well deserved. Bill was €52 for a big lunch for 4, wine included . Service was excellent. We came a bit late during the lunch time, at 14h15 on a Monday, so we were almost the only ones there but very happy we could still get lunch! Would definitely return for those bruschetta and some wine if it was closer by, but we were just visiting Matera...

Don’t be confused by the name—it doesn’t say la bruschetta and it looks like a gellateria. But the proprietor gave us a truly amazing meal—the local bruschetta, and amazing spinach and ricotta pasta, and the star of the show was one of the best lasagne we’ve ever had made with local materan ingredients.
We cannot recommend it highly enough, and it is on a beautiful street for people...
