In Messina for the day and walking around the square, when we came across this gem of a restaurant. You have to stop here for a cold beer and panino or cheese & meat platter, the best food we've had since we got to Italy! The staff couldn't do enough for our group of six and made our experience the best one yet! The food fantastic, the beer cold and delicious. They have all kinds of wine also, and we were able to buy olive oil. One stop dinning and shopping! Thank you Giovanni and staff, you made our visit the best one yet; we will definitely be back!

My daughter and I were touring Messina today by ourselves and discovered this special sandwich shop with the help of another Google review. The friendly proprietor, Giovanni, made us two delicious fresh Sicilian sandwiches along with a red wine spritzer and Limoncello spritzer. He helped us with a bit of English since we are not Italian speakers, which made us feel very welcome. We ended up spending several hours here waiting out a torrential rain storm, but Giovanni made us feel like guests the whole time. I would certainly return any day!

The friendly proprietor, Giovanni, made us two delicious fresh Sicilian sandwiches along with a red wine spritzer and Limoncello spritzer. He helped us with a bit of English since we are not Italian speakers, which made us feel very welcome. We ended up spending several hours here waiting out a torrential rain storm, but Giovanni made us feel like guests the whole time. I would certainly return any day!
