​A great place to taste the flavors of Messina! ​This small spot, located right next to the cathedral, is a real gem. There are tables outside on the sidewalk, in the shade of ancient trees, which creates a truly lovely atmosphere. ​The owner is very friendly and helpful, ready to give excellent advice on traditional Messina dishes. I was with a Sicilian friend, and the flavors immediately reminded her of the genuine cooking of her grandmother. ​We ate divinely, savoring every single bite. The granita and brioche are an absolute must-try—they were nothing short of spectacular! ​The prices are fair and in line with the quality offered. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try authentic local cuisine in a welcoming environment. Arrived in Messina on cruise ship and took a short walk from harbour towards the cathedral and campanile. On the walk we came across a little café called Sicily and ordered an iced coffee and a spritz what came was the very nice drinks but also free bowls of bacon fries, salted peanuts, crisps and small pieces of a stuffed flat bread!
