This was one of the best places with traditional Napoletan pizza. Everybody who chooses to eat at Asaje needs to know that the pizza is not crunchy and thin. It is think and with fluffy dough, but it’s one of the best pizza doughs I have ever eaten. Asaje is one of the most famous places in Turin, so it is better to be there right when they open the restaurant, because they don’t take reservations and it is almost always full. On Sundays, at lunch, it is not that full in the first hour of the opening, but during dinners it is always full. The staff is very polite and they explain everything you need. There are classic pizzas, new ones, gourmet ones, and there is also a selection of fried Southern Italian dishes - such as arancina or fritto misto. Make sure that you request digestivi after any meal. You will get a mini bucket with cold digestivi - limoncello, meloncello and a pistacchio drink. They are served on the house. I was very pleasantly surprised that, at the end of my lunch, I paid just the pizza, the sparkling water and the coperto (which is the service). It was great, and, in my opinion, the prices are medium ones for Turin. Enjoy the pictures! My pizza is called Rachetta.

One of those above average pizzerias where you’d see lots of locals flocking in and that’s how you know it’s worth giving a try. The pizza dough indeed gets a special mention, it’s mildly chewy, has a smooth texture to it and quite airy, which must have to do something with the way they ferment it. Went there on a Saturday evening, there were long lines, however we managed to get a table in about 20 minutes. As we waited on your order, we got served pizze fritte polpette and prosecco as appetizers and after we’re done with our meal, we’re served with three liqueurs, meloncello, lemoncello and pistachio flavors, and from what we understood from the server, the liqueurs were homemade as well as Assaje brews it’s own beer. By our side, by the grill, a server was roasting chestnuts and served us some, immediately after roasting them, and that was indeed one of the most unique things I’ve ever experienced (which sort of alleviates the whole Assaje dining experience). The place easily makes it to the list of one of the best pizzerias in Milan and I totally recommend to give the whole experience a try for the meager amount you’re spending. Can’t wait to go back!

We've been to hundreds of places around the globe but, so far, this is definitely the best restaurant in terms of experience. We were welcomed with a Prosecco drinks on the house, just like everyone else. We ordered bruschettas, pizza, two cocktails and a tiramisu for dessert. Everything was perfectly served and delicious. The cocktail was a little bit too strong for me and I asked if I could have a little bit of sparkling water to fill in, and the waitress immediately wanted to take the cocktail away and prepare a new one, which I insisted not to. Then, we received a bottle of sparkling water free. Tiramisu was served in a beautiful coffee pot and it was amazing. At the end the waiters brought three liquors - pistacchio, lemon and orange. Also for free. In general, everything was perfect. Starting with the food, extra-caring staff, the atmosphere of place and people around, the chefs preparing pizza on our eyes, just perfect. The staff were coming several times to make sure we are okay. It's just amazing, truly the best experience of restaurant so far. We do recommend it a lot. To Assaje Team - thank you guys, you made our day wonderful.

We’ve been wanting to try this place since we arrived in Milano a few months ago, but were always reluctant because of the hype they have on social media, which is, unfortunately, usually a bad sign. However, from when we arrived until when we got our pizzas and left, the experience was amazing! We were welcomed by someone at the door that asked us if we wanted to sit or get takeaway, so we went inside to order our pizzas for takeaway. The guy at the counter was very friendly and helpful! While we waited for our pizzas to be ready, they give you napolitan zeppole that were freshly fried and delicious! We got our pizzas in about 10mins and the place was PACKED! Bare in mind that this was a Sunday night! We got our pizzas in an Assaje re-usable bag with more zeppole! We got home and the pizzas were absolutely delicious! All ingredients were super fresh, the dough was amazing, and the combinations were just working! We had some leftovers, re-heated them in the oven for lunch the day after and they still tasted amazing!! The hype is real, and we’ll definitely go back!

I happen to stay a few steps away from this outlet of Assaje and was very happy to be staying this close given the reputation the place held; have always walked past the pizzeria with crowd thronging the place at all times and expected a huge wait during my visit but was fortunate enough to find a table as soon as we got there. The initial service took some time and we ordered the classic bruschette, Margherita, marinara and pistacchio e mortadella. The bruschetta was okay, I usually prefer a slightly more crispier bread and the tomatoes were fresh, so were the olives which tasted good. The pizza came next and while they looked good, were a huge disappointment, I had the Margherita which tasted a bit sweeter than usual due to the tomatoes which were used and dough was very bad - chewy. I’ve had better pizzas in milan, there’s Gino Sorbillo a few blocks away where the taste has been good and consistent. The mortadella and pistachio pizza tasted better of the lot, primarily because of the back of tomato sauce in the pizza. Overall, a disappointment!

Amazing pizzeria. First of all be sure to make a reservation (if it’s even possible) if you plan on going during the weekend, because it will be crowded to say the least. But even with a huge line in front of the restaurant, the queuing experience was actually pretty satisfying. We got some pizze fritte and prosecco while waiting, which was really appreciated and made the wait less annoying. For what regards the food: it was amazing. True Pizza Napoletana with some twists, and the price wasn’t even particularly higher than a “standard” pizzeria. A part from the pizza, the dessert was also quite delicious, they also offered us limoncello, meloncello and another pistachio flavored liquor and even some chestnuts. That boosts the value proposition of the restaurant even higher. The staff was also incredibly friendly, and even if it was full, they await time for the actual food were minimal. I would absolutely recommend: it’s probably one of the best pizzerias in Milan, not expensive and with an amazing customer service and experience.
