I was thrown out - communication helps!

I came for the atmosphere, as I walked past the night before. I arrived when the bar was empty, accepting the suggestion to sit on the table for two on the window. I invited friends and colleagues to come over to meet and discuss our current project. However, after having not been served, as it got busier, and me continuing to work, finally one of the guys finally came up… I was happy and wanted to order a drink, another sandwich and ask to move to a bigger table, when a table become free… sadly I never had the chance as I was asked to leave, as the bar is too busy for running clients, not for someone to work on their laptop…. That’s what I call worst service ever and I am sad, as the atmosphere and food were great! Sad to feel like being treated as a foreigner, although I understand and speak Italian without a problem, lacking the communication with me to „find a solution“… if they felt there was a problem!

I am in Milan once every other week but I will not come back as I simply do not understand the lack of communication and treatment...

It looked like a nice place so we wanted to try it out. The menus came as newspapers, which was really cool. The waiter, even though we asked for a few more minutes to, came so many times bugging us so many times and we had to ask for a few minutes for a few times because one of our friends couldn’t decide, which is understandable. Then once we were eating, in the same second we finished, they cleared everything out of the table as if they wanted us to leave. Also, there were people smoking inside because they open the windows, but that does not make sense. The place overall is expensive but it is understandable. It is in the center of Milan. But the staff there were not the best. The guy who welcomed us behind the bar was nice though. If the service was a bit more nicer, I would’ve taught of coming back. But overall, thank you for the experience. Nice decoration. One more suggestion, the music playing there was too loud and also a bad playlist. To a café, this beautiful, anything more like instrumental or jazz which sounds really...

Came in at a quiet time on a Tuesday with my Italian partner for an aperitivo. Ordered a Negroni and a Rum & Coke. Both were very strong so made sense for the price of €10 each but... Where was the offer of snacks I have seen before in the reviews? We are tourists so drawn here by the reviews but didn't experience any of the positives I read about. (potentially because we were just that - tourists). We know it's common for places to try and upsell their snacks but at aperitivo time... It seems a bit rude. We definitely were spending enough to justify a normal expectation of a couple of bites to eat, potentially leading to more drinks so... Their loss I suppose.

8 barmen crowded behind the single bar and only a handful of customers... This didn't make sense either. All of the staff appeared inattentive and quite intimidating if I'm honest. We drank, paid, and left quickly.

Won't be coming again - sorry guys, there are some things you...

When you order a charcuterie board and they slice the salami in front of you, you know you've hit the right spot. The coffee is great and costs 1 euro - I mean where in the world? Oh yes, in Italy! Love the shabby chic decor and the loud music and fun atmosphere. There is a great mix of people from all around the world in your ears!

In my limited time in Milan, this was the best coffee I found. They have 5 or 6 kinds of brioches (croissants to me) that were filled with creams of different flavors. Probably other options too. They were also considerate of this traveler that does not speak Italian (except for what can be found in a guidebook).
