Warhammer — Local services in Milan

I love to visit Warhammer stores whenever I travel to a different country and I’ve been doing this, accompanied by my wife, since I started in the hobby in 2017. The first time I visited this particular store in Milan was in 2019, when I bought a Chaos Knight kit + codex and had an overall decent experience. Now we’re in 2025, back in Milan, and how disappointed I am with how poorly this store service aged. Today, after a long day of walking around the city, me and my wife (who is VISIBLY 7 months pregnant) decided to revisit this store and this is what happened: while I was looking around the store, my wife, again, who is VISIBLY 7 MONTHS PREGNANT, politely asked IN ITALIAN, if she could sit on one of the available chairs next to a painting table, while waiting for me, was told by the 3 store employees (who, at that moment, were just painting and chatting among them), and I quote - “NO, YOU CANNOT SEAT BECAUSE WE ARE CLEANING AND ORGANIZING THE STORE”. But after saying that, instead of “cleaning and organizing” anything, they just ignored her and kept to themselves (one was even on his phone browsing his social media). When she told me what happened I felt so disgusted that I decided to just leave without purchasing anything. In 8 years of hobbytime we were never treated like this in any Warhammer or Independent Hobby Store we visited around the world. To deny a 7 months pregnant woman a f**ng chair is simply UNBELIEVABLE regardless if it’s a hobby store or any kind of...

Piccola premessa: disegno e dipingo per passione, ho scoperto le miniature di Warhammer durante il lockdown, online, e il mio interesse è relativo alla parte artistica: montaggio, pittura, imbasettamento... Dato che online su Amazon o altri siti non si trova molto, ho deciso di fare un salto in negozio. Mi aspettavo un luogo piccolo, organizzato in modo approssimativo, invece è uno spettacolo: spazio ampio, tutto in perfetto ordine, personale gentilissimo. Dato che amo i colori mi sono subito buttato nella sezione dedicata... invece di avere i campioni colore su piccoli quadratini di carta, hanno preso le miniature e le hanno dipinte una a una per far vedere la resa. Spettacolo. Infine un complimento enorme va ai ragazzi che ci lavorano: gentilissimi, competenti su tutto, organizzati, disponibili a rispondere ad ogni domanda.
