One of the worst experiences I’ve had in a restaurant. The fact that it has good ratings, does not mean that the service is good. People just prefer simplicity and I get that.We came to the restaurant, it was about 22:30 so a bit late. We had to wait a bit to get served. I had a few questions about the menu to the waiter, because for me it was slightly strange the menu. I understand the idea of simplicity and cheap good pizza and just the power of a few ingredients. I have lived in Rome, Italy my whole life and been to Napoli many times before so I think I have an opinion. The pizza are 4. One of them the Bianca is not something you will find typically. I asked the waiter to please explain to me the options. He started of by being very rude and condescending. His tone was not appreciative. He kept on repeating the things like as if I couldn’t understand Italian. Now I’m writing this in English so that foreigners know that this is not Italian hospitality. This is a few people with bad manners and low quality of standards who serve you and just express rudeness because they know they have reviews all over the internet for “good” pizza. Anyways, I asked what the Pizza del giorno had. Becuase it’s not called pizza alla sorpresa, “pizza of the day” not “surprise pizza”, it’s called pizza del giorno. I asked him because frankly speaking, I did not want marinara, or Margerita or the third one which is not a typical one. So I asked him what does it have. He kept on repeating to me like I’m an idiot that it is a surprise pizza, and I have no right to know what is on the pizza. What if I have allergies, what if I feel like knowing. I’m sorry but I want to know what I order. Anyways im sure if the waiter would have been nicer we would have stayed but I can tell you that after really bad service. That I’ve never experienced in my life before I just decided to stand up leave. It was shockingly rude and just not my type of style. I go to a restaurant or even pizzeria, and I have been in many places in Napoli, and I don’t get this type of thing. Please, believe me in a way that maybe you can have a satisfying time at this restaurant but I felt personally that this way out of line. Additionally, he kept on telling me that they have sold so many pizzas and they have such good reviews that I cannot even question them. We went on to finding another pizzeria and had very good service and...
Read moreThis is one of the restaurants that truly stayed in my heart even after leaving Milan. I don’t even know where to begin! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming—even the way they greet you at the door makes you feel at home. Every time you arrive, they offer you a glass of Aperol before you even sit down at the table. On some days, we also received a small slice of pizza for free, and most of the time, after leaving a tip, we were offered watermelon-flavored liquor shots on the house.
Now, about the pizza—I have no words! It was one of the best I have ever had. My friends and I loved this place so much that, out of the four days we spent in Milan, we had dinner here three times. Every time, I ordered the Margherita pizza, and I can honestly say I have never tasted a better tomato sauce. It felt as if the tomatoes had just been picked fresh from my grandmother’s garden, grated, and turned into the most flavorful sauce ever. The combination of this sauce with the thin crust, fresh mozzarella, and basil was simply perfect.
I also tried their tiramisu, which was absolutely worth it! Another moment that made my experience special was on the first day when our waiter asked where we were from, and after we paid the bill, they played our national anthem on the speakers. It was such an overwhelming moment.
The food and the people at this restaurant truly stayed in my heart. If you’re ever in Milan, this is a place you don’t...
Read moreWhat a delightful find in Milan! Piz served up one of the most enjoyable pizzas I've had during my travels in Europe. The pizza crust was exactly how I like it - slightly soft, allowing for that perfect fold-and-eat experience that makes pizza so satisfying.
The cheese was absolutely yummy, melted to perfection and generously applied. But what really set this pizza apart were the toppings. The quality was superior to many other pizzas I've tried across Europe, showcasing fresh ingredients that complemented each other beautifully.
The service at Piz was very cool - attentive without being intrusive, allowing us to relax and enjoy our meal at our own pace. We chose to sit outdoors, which turned out to be an excellent decision. The al fresco dining area provided a pleasant atmosphere, perfect for savoring our delicious pizzas and soaking in the Milanese ambiance.
Overall, our meal at Piz was a very pleasant experience. If you're in Milan and craving a top-notch pizza, I highly recommend giving Piz a try. It's a great spot for both locals and tourists looking for a satisfying meal in a laid-back setting. This restaurant definitely deserves its place among Milan's culinary...
