Strange and awkward experience.

We asked for a table for four at the entrance and were told yes, but when we followed the waiter, it turned out the table didn’t actually exist. He then began moving tables together while we stood awkwardly between two occupied tables. Eventually, we were seated, and another waiter finished setting up the table.

We needed extra time to look through the menu as it wasn’t properly translated. That’s not the restaurant’s fault—we understand it’s on us for not knowing Italian—but the extra time was necessary to translate it ourselves. Despite this, the waiter approached us 3–4 times in a short span, which made us feel rushed.

When we asked for a wine recommendation (since there are no descriptions on the wine list), the waiter just shrugged and pointed randomly at one, offering no explanation or interest in helping.

To top things off, after paying by card, we wanted to leave a small tip in pound sterling—the only cash we had at the time. The waiter dismissed it, saying the country only operates in euros and that he couldn’t be bothered to exchange it. He told us if we really wanted to leave a tip, we should have done so by card.

Weiter was very rude as 4 of us ordered 3 dishes, making a comment in a rude way "Only 3 dishes for 4 of you?" They charge us for 2eur x4 in total 8eur for grocery shopping bread sticks that you can by for 0,15c as "coperto" At the end They tried to charge us for the Tiramisu that was never delivered even so we ordered it. When we ask for wifi he said yes we have, give me a min. and he never came back... I was trying to order another beer but with no success. Overall impression is that he deliberately mistreated us as we ordered 3 dishes for 4 of us... Absolutely terrible experience – avoid at all costs!

We were a group of nine people, three families, and from the moment we arrived, the service was shockingly bad. The waiter couldn’t have cared less about us, especially when we politely asked to pay separately. He was rude, dismissive, and made it very clear he had zero interest in helping us.

The food? Absolutely awful. Bland, overcooked, and nowhere near fresh. It honestly felt like they just didn’t care about quality or customer satisfaction at all.

This place is a complete disaster. One visit was more than enough – we’ll never be back. Save yourself the trouble and go literally anywhere else. Bella Riva? More like...
