We had the strangest, and rudest experience here. We went to look at the menu, which is on the street beyond the main doorway. On the way, we stopped to sanatize our hands in the doorway before we touched the menu... which seemed like the polite thing to do. Upon doing this, the waiter aggressively approached us, obviously thinking we were stealing his sanatizer (which is laughable in itself). He then led us to the menu and aggressively, and really in our face, started to read it out to us without a mask on (basically spluttering all over us). & then when we obviously said we were fine and would eat somewhere else, he then tried to have an argument with us in the middle of street, as if he was some kind of authority. The sad thing is, that because it was around 5pm and most Milan restaurants hadn’t opened yet, we would have been really like to have eaten there as the outdoor seating has nice views of the costello. But, obviously the staff there are more focused on fighting with potential punters on the street who want to keep their hands clean during an epidemic, than providing decent or even basic,...
Read moreOur Italian friends we were visiting were not happy to hear about our experience here and encouraged us to write reviews. We had lunch here one day while sightseeing. The location is convenient and there are nice views, but that’s pretty much the best part. Food was “ok”. Service was fine until the check came. The waiter hand wrote a line for tip and explained that tip would have to be cash as he couldn’t add it to the credit card purchase. When we said we didn’t have cash for a tip, the server told us about a bank just around the corner. This was very uncomfortable and our local friends explained that this is boarder line illegal. Tipping is very much optional in Italy and most of Europe. It’s accepted but not expected. Servers should not and can not ask for tip so please beware. Tip for very good service, not because you feel that you should or feel pressured. After this experience we absolutely did not tip anyone who asked, we only tipped a couple servers who were working hard and/or still welcoming...
Read moreIf I could give this establishment as zero star, I would. The server was quite rude. We ordered 2 gelatos before our tour started, and we were told that we couldn't sit down and despite spending money there. We were forced to order some other drinks which were 8 euro for orange juice & 3 euro for a shot of expresso (item on the menu says coffee). It's a bit of a scam to be honest. We were hesitant to order food from this place after reading all the other bad reviews. When we walked by the food area, we saw that the plates of food were all sitting on glass shelves. Obviously they were all prepared ahead of time so that would explain why they were cold, not fresh, and not good. After having paid for the items we ordered, we asked for the receipt and the man behind the counter just threw it at us. I'm not sure what's with the attitude but it's totally...
