The restaurant didn’t meet at my expectations! The position is strategic, very close to post-dinner pubs. Once in the restaurant, you feel the Naples atmosphere and design. We had a sea food dinner starting from a crudités that was not good. Tartare were served into small cups (not easy to eat) and without any sauce and looking like just out from the fridge. Oysters were good and the special sauce as well. Moving to main course, we had spaghetti ai ricci di mare that was ok and risotto stracciatella e gamberi that wasn’t yummy at all. It tasted as risotto allo zafferano and I didn’t taste at all shrimp into the mix. After this, we deduced to take fried codfish and it was tasteless (not sapid enough). The price was on the average for the area and type of food. Indeed, the quality of the food was definitely not enough. Failed the test!

Came in with low expectations as I’m not a fan of eating out what I can make at home, but I’m really glad we came to Carmelina! First of, those fried dough balls were insane! No idea what they are, they just arrived out of the blue! The fried stuffed fiore di zucca was one of the best I’ve ever eaten! Super hot, fresh, and really tasty! The eggplant meatballs were just wow! Super crunchy and tasty! The fried calamari and shrimp were nice! Nothing too crazy, but the right amount of fried, not too oily, and good portion! Finally, the spaghetti alla Nerone were just beautiful! Super super tasty! They’re quite heavy on the salt, but other than that, everything was to die for!

I am really disappointed to leave this review, because I really like the food and the atmosphere in this restaurant, but for the second time the service is really bad, and it is not from all the staff, it is particularly with one girl that is super rude, and really left me with a bad feeling, even though the food is great and all the other staff are super friendly. This particular waitress messed up with the order of two of the people on the table, and when we called her and told her the order was wrong, she said “okay, but would you want another 20 minutes?”, well yes, after that she asked “so you won’t eat this?”, well no, because I can’t eat of the ingredients, so I wouldn’t order it in the first place! Then other arguments happened, which I will not mention, but by the end of our dinner, another girl served all the other orders, who was really sweet and kind. That is why it’s a pity for a good restaurant with nice staff, to have a bad review because of one person, who seems to be problematic. Unfortunatelly, I don’t plan to visit this place again (particularly this location of the...
