David's — Restaurant in Milan

This is by far my favorite breakfast place. And yes, even more so than california bakery! They do everything right, and it tastes Deliciously GOOD! 🙌🏾. THANK YOU! I LOVE the way the lady in the back of the kitchen does the omelets with its egg-white texture and egg-whites within the omelet. This is my second day in a row coming here for breakfast🫶🏾🫶🏾. Unfortunately, I discovered this place a few days before it's time for me to leave Italy. I WISH, I had known about this place long before my last week here. All food is served hot. The pancakes are served hot. Hot enough not to return the food and say, do tbis again please. Unlike California bakery... Every single time that I have asked for a french toast or pancakes, they serve me either of thr two as if it just came out of a plastic bag and only put it in the microwave for 5 seconds. Then I gave it right back to them so that they can do it right. Do not be afraid. I don't need to let the go. These cooks know how you want your food served. Yeah, you in their country but YOU are the one paying for the service AND the food, so pay for how you want it. And if they can't do that, then do we give these servic. Anyhow, I say all of that to say this: At DAVID'S, the lady cook and the male server- i never not once had to tell them because he communicated and she prepared the food to perfection. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. Rude Asians are running the place. You would think people of color would respect other people of color. As a black woman, they were rude and catered only to whites and Italians; the service was horrible. We walked out!!!!! They will Lie underneath and comment to try to cover up. We walked in, and he did not tell us where to sit. He assumed we wanted breakfast when we didn’t ask for it. That was yesterday, sir!!! Who said we did not want to eat lunch!!! Majestic place. Was staying at the Hyatt hotel and due to its expensive prices, decided to find a place to eat as a family of 6. Stumbled upon this place and I am happy to say that wasn’t a bad decision. The workers at this fine establishment were nothing but kind and not disrespectful in any way. The food was cooked at the perfect temperature and served without any long waiting. They first served us croissants with peach juice and a coffee, and the croissant was surprisingly delicious, considering I aren’t a fan of croissants.
