I’ve been looking forward to trying this place for a while so we made sure to book in advance. I showed up 10’ early and was told that there’d a 5-10’ wait (totally legit ofc), so I chose to wait for my friend outside. Once she joined me we kept on waiting outside and at least 4-5 people have been seated who came after us and the manager didn’t even bother to give us an update on our booking. After yet another person coming after us and being seated I asked about our table and he said yes, yes, just a minute an d finally got us seated. I get they are busy but acknowledging the waiting customers would have provided a much nicer experience. We got seated at a sofa by the window which was fine for a coffee but really uncomfortable for a brunch. The food came in pretty quickly and I must admit was rather good. The drink however was a disaster - I ordered a chai latte (my absolute favorite drink so I repute myself somewhat of a connoisseur in judging it), which turned out to be very watery, with just a hint of spices and a drip of milk. I immediately called a waitress explaining politely that the drink wasn’t properly made and requesting to exchange it for a regular latte. She said yes and I was brought a latte about 10 minutes later. Imagine my surprise when I saw the final bill and I’ve been charged for both drinks! I found that totally dishonest and unprofessional - if you refuse to exchange my drink, you have to let me know so that I can decide how to proceed. I was very clear in my complaint about the drink and it was taken for granted by both me and my friend that my exchange (not new order) request was accepted. I noticed it only after paying the bill so couldn’t argue. The dessert was just ok, nothing special. Overall, unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. For a total of 34,5€ per person you can find much better options with friendlier service elsewhere. In short, overrated and not worth the hype.

Somehow, the disgusting toilet is still better than the service. The food is ok. Answer to their reply: Your reply is disappointing. Clean toilets aren’t optional, they are legally required. Under EU Regulation 852/2004 and Italian D.Lgs. 193/2007, guest restrooms must be kept clean, with soap, water, and drying materials. This is also a core part of the HACCP system, which every restaurant in Italy must follow. Saying the toilet was dirty “because you were busy” is not an excuse. Also, requiring customers to accept cookies to access your menu in other languages may violate GDPR and ePrivacy laws, essential information like food choices and allergens must be accessible without tracking consent. Please check this with the menu provider, it might be a bug. Sharing a photo of your public toilet is not defamation, it’s evidence. As a paying customer, I have the right to highlight serious hygiene issues. I hope you take this seriously and improve. I suggest following: - check your cleaning records documents that should be visibly placed and discuss it with responsible personnel - make sure that you are keep premises clean by the regulations, they are not so hard to understand and should be available to all the staff in printed version - go cry to your mom

I recently visited this Danish brunch spot in Milan, expecting a warm and welcoming experience. However, what caught my attention—and that of my friend, who is indigenous from Greenland—was the world map on the wall. To our surprise and disappointment, Greenland, a place with a deeply complex colonial history with Denmark, was completely obscured by a sign. The sign read “Language holds us together,” which felt painfully ironic given the colonial suppression of Greenlandic culture and language by Denmark. As someone sharing this moment with my Greenlandic friend, I found the lack of cultural awareness, especially from a place that is supposed to represent Danish culture, deeply unsettling. The café might want to reflect on this oversight and its impact on guests, especially those who come from places affected by Danish colonialism. Cultural sensitivity matters, and this brunch spot missed the mark. For those who value respect and inclusivity, I’d recommend reconsidering a visit to this establishment

The area is very good and nice, the space is also nice... I decided to comment on the positive first. Unfortunately for me, these are the only ones.

Detailing everything that for me was not good and that I still think the amount of money paid (62€) for two brunch services and it hurts me:

A rather reduced menu. The menu includes a main course (3 options to choose from), two side dishes and a dessert. Drink not included. This means that all the options should have an excellent quality in relation to quantity and taste to be something positive (the fact of the short menu). In this case neither the quantity nor the presentation corresponded. The flavors were not bad but not worth the money, I have had many brunches for less than 25€ with much more food and better in every way.

Presentation: by wanting to put a simple presentation they have not achieved the objective. Two medium baked potatoes cut in half with a little bit of cream in the middle. A strangely colored scrambled egg, toast that looked like supermarket toast a single mushroom resting on a tahini-like cream that did not match the flavors of the rest of the dish.

Quantity, if we are going to pay so much money for a dish + drink + service, at least put a more generous dish. The toast was thin, not the best, only one mushroom which is not a regular size (the mushroom of the other service was bigger, so they should AT LEAST put 2 mushrooms), two medium sized potatoes and a scrambled egg and pale asparagus.

The service was okay.

In general it hurt me a lot to pay an absurd amount for those dishes that cannot justify their price in any sense. The place should not qualify as a "brunch restaurant".

Aaaaah, the dessert: a carrot cake with a flavor of whatever you can imagine but not carrot and a pastry with apple that was the...

This used to be my go-to spot for breakfast, however, unfortunately they have increased their prices way too much + removed the orange juice and coffee from the set brunch menu. I ended up paying around 45 euros for ordering additional water, coffee and orange juice per person… not worth it for the portions provided. Many other options in milan!

judging from your response to my comment and response to other people’s comments, you really don’t know how to take negative feedback and surely don’t understand the concept of “the customer has the right to leave feedback”. Sure maybe the coffee was not part of the brunch menu since before and the water was free, but please don’t lie to me telling me you’ve increased your prices because of better quality products, and we all know thats not the case , anyways Hygge cafe, in the end a little Marketing tip from someone who works in the industry, don’t upset a customer beyond their dissatisfaction, because we will happily spread the negative word much faster and further than a positive one, you had the chance to say something nice and turn my comment around to a positive one, however, looking at your lack of respect to your customers online, i will surely ensure to spread the negative comment to everyone i know (trust me thats a big community in milano ;)) in the end you are losing me as a client and potentially all my social circles.

Have a nice day overcharging clients for food that barely fills the stomach, oh and ps i ended up going for lunch right after your brunch because of how hungry...
