Wave Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Milan

We had a terrible experience at this bar. We were a group of 11 international people, and since none of us spoke Italian, we communicated in English with the waiter. It was a Tuesday night, the bar was almost empty, with only one other Italian couple there, yet we were treated rudely and unfairly the entire time.

First, seven of us wanted to drink Prosecco, so we ordered a bottle to share. The waiter refused, saying the first bottle could only be for three people, and the second bottle could be for everyone, which made no sense at all. We chose a €42 bottle and ordered two of the same, but when the waiter brought them out, he switched one for a more expensive bottle. When we pointed it out, he suddenly was like “yes yes i have 2 of the same one” the correct bottle.

Then, three people ordered a beer, an apple spritz, and water. But the waiter tried to charge us for an extra Aperol Spritz, insisting we had ordered it. We argued for at least 5-10 minutes because we knew we didn’t. It felt like they were trying to scam us just because we were international customers.

Later, when a friend joined, we asked him to bring her a glass so she can drink Prosecco from our second bottle, which we had barely touched. The waiter refused for no reason and had a bad attitude the whole time. So i told him bring her a glass, we’re leaving immediately as soon as this bottle is empty. Every time we would ask him for something, he was like i need to ask the manager, which was very annoying. He was constantly watching our drinks like we were doing something wrong. It was uncomfortable, unnecessary, and just bad service.

Honestly, this place is not worth your time or money. Not sure if it was racism or scamming which is clearly something they are talented at because it didn’t look like it’s...

Siamo venuti per una festa di laurea. Il locale molto carino e drink molto buoni accompagnati da aperitivo con la possibilità di chiedere l’alternativa vegetariana (un po’ meno buona, erano degli hamburger di verdure e soia, con sopra una fetta di formaggio, scaldati in microonde e nemmeno salati) ma comunque molto apprezzato per la presenza di questa possibilità. Il problema è stato il personale, davvero poco disponibile, poco cordiale e con un servizio scarso. Il nostro gruppo è arrivato in due ondate, la seconda decisamente in ritardo ma comunque ciò non giustifica, a mio modesto parere, la mancanza di cordialità e professionalità da parte del personale, il quale ha “minacciato” di non servire il cibo a chi non sarebbe arrivato in tempo… per un gruppo di 13 persone che comunque portano un certo guadagno al locale, non vedo motivo di essere così poco tolleranti. Siamo stati più volte sollecitati a fare meno baccano, quando comunque non era nulla di fuori dal normale: stavamo festeggiando una festa di laurea, ci sono stati degli applausi, degli auguri e qualche sentita risata. Se il locale non accetta questi tipi di comportamento allora dovrebbe rifiutare di ospitare feste di qualsiasi genere. Infine, al momento della torta, siamo rimasti negativamente colpiti dal servizio (2€ a persona): la torta è stata presentata sul tavolo senza nemmeno una candela (ci aspettavamo delle candele-Fontana che scintillano), invece, solo dopo una nostra esplicita richiesta, sono state portate due candeline normali, di cui una già usata oltretutto.. dopodiché la torta è stata servita su dei piatti DI PLASTICA con annessa FORCHETTA IN PLASTICA. Non capisco dunque in cosa consiste il servizio se non ci sono nemmeno dei normali piatti in ceramica. Lo spumante è stato portato al tavolo GIÀ APERTO, non dando la possibilità ai festeggiati di stappare le bottiglie, il tutto in un secchio da ghiaccio, senza ghiaccio, e quando è stato chiesto, visto che il contenuto si stava scaldando, la cameriera ha risposto in modo infastidito e l’ha portato e posato sul tavolo in modo sgarbato e poco delicato. Ci siamo sentiti a disagio e non benvenuti.

Qualsiasi critica o giudizio dovrebbe essere preso, a mio parere, in modo costruttivo e accolto positivamente da chi lavora per il locale. Invece ci è stato più e più volte puntato il dito contro. Qualsiasi errore del cliente (nel limite dell’appropriato) non giustifica una tale scarsità del servizio. Spero che questa lunga recensione possa essere un’utile occasione di crescita per i dipendenti e il locale...

had such a great experience at this cocktail bar! The service was amazing – super friendly and attentive. The drinks were incredibly tasty, and the aperitive plate that came with the drinks was definitely worth it. What made the night even more fun was when our waiter invited us to play a little game: he offered a “secret cocktail” with four ingredients, and if you guessed them all correctly, you’d get one for free. We managed to get it right (with a little help 😉), and it was such a unique and entertaining touch. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great drinks, good vibes, and a bit of fun.
