Il Coriandolo — Restaurant in Milan

My Marriott Hotel recommended this place to me. They wanted to book my reservation but we were not sure on time and walked over. Upon arrival, everyone around me received a complementary appetizer and a tiny glass of prosecco-we only received the appetizer and I inquired and still was denied it. I told them the hotel sent us over and even showed them the map from the Marriott hotel which told me to dine here. I was still denied it! Very cheap and highly inappropriate of them to exclude us. I will inform the Marriott Hotel to stop sending guests over here. This ruined my meal for me and I ate cold. The Man sitting next to me agreed and spoke in Italian to them-still no response! They told him only hotels sending people over received this prosecco. Very stupid of them to be so cheap- The one waiter even argued about it! We had a truly terrible experience. First they forgot our reservation for 8 people on New Years Eve. Never received any apology. Then service took extremely long and we had to ask for everything multiple times. Last but not least: We waited for 2 full hours but our food never came. They kept telling us to wait 2 more minutes and while every other table finished their meals (even groups that arrived an hour after us, as well as another bigger group on the table next to us) we were left with no dinner on such a special evening. It was so upsetting and the service definitely did not try to be helpful at all. I was extremely disappointed since I thought this was one of the nicer restaurants and honestly expected better service when they charge 30-60€ per dish and 8€ cover. Our hotel recommended, but a tourist trap, although had reservation made us wait, cold and rude, food was very late, my stake was half raw, although had asked for welldone, The room was small and tight not like the one in picture. Only about 40 guests. Much formaility changed plates and glasses multiple times, yet lacked good food timely. About to deliver next table food to ours while we had sat much before them. Waitor announced my first name loud in the room as if he was looking for me, while he well knew who gave him the credit card. Obnoxious! Regret...
