I stopped into Like Mike Milano for lunch thanks to a 50% off promotion on The Fork, and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is bright and airy with a clean, sophisticated aesthetic. There’s a subtle nod to Southern Italy in both the décor and the dishes. It's not overly traditional, just enough to give the place personality and warmth. It feels modern, but with a clear point of view.
The cocktails looked beautiful, but unfortunately the flavours didn’t quite match the presentation. They were a bit flat, lacking the boldness or complexity you’d expect at this level. That’s really the only area that missed the mark.
However, each dish struck a nice balance: light enough for lunch but still filling, satisfying, and the plating was genuinely elegant. It’s the kind of food that makes you feel like you’re treating yourself while still being able to go about the rest of your day without feeling weighed down.
I appreciated how approachable the menu was, and you can tell there’s real attention to quality and detail in the kitchen. With the promotion, the value was excellent.
Overall, Like Mike Milano is a stylish and enjoyable spot for a refined lunch in the city. A bit more effort on the cocktails would elevate it further, but the atmosphere and food already make it a very solid choice, especially if you can catch a deal...
Read moreIt was my birthday, and thanks to my friends’ sweet surprise we ended up having dinner at this restaurant for the first time. Everything from the dishes to the atmosphere to the staff’s energy was wonderful. The place feels both calm, high quality and fancy, yet never pretentious.
My friends and I tried the parmigiana and some of the beef courses, and we finished with their tiramisu. It was a completely flawless evening. I would also like to give special thanks to Mr. Armando, who took care of us throughout the night with kindness and a warm smile.
Discovering places like this always makes me happy. It has definitely made it to my favorites list in...
Read moreWe came here after not being able to get into another restaurant down the road and were pleasantly surprised by how nice this restaurant is.
It was quite late at that point in the evening but the service was great, the staff were all incredibly friendly. The only small problem was that we were served different mains than we ordered. Though i think this was because of my limited grasp of the Italian language.
However what we got in the end (linguine alla nerano) was absolutely delicious, so good in-fact we tried to re-create it the night after.
The prices are very reasonable and i’d recommend it to anyone who was looking for quality...
