Today we visited this Italian restaurant during our travels in Milan. As Asian tourists eager to experience local dining, we were disheartened by the service we received, which certainly did not meet our expectations. From the outset, we were not greeted with the same warmth and hospitality that we observed being extended to other tables. We noticed that other guests were provided with complimentary bread and olive oil, but we had to specifically request it ourselves. Additionally, the menus were hastily taken from us before we had adequate time to make our selections.
While the food was satisfactory, the service continued to disappoint. During checkout, when we were reviewing the bill, the server rudely attempted to initiate a payment using Apple Pay by pressing the payment machine directly against my friend’s phone without consent. This action was highly presumptuous and inappropriate, especially as we were still verifying the charges. Although the transaction did not go through and the server quickly retreated after canceling it, this did not alleviate our frustration.
When we informed him that we were ready to pay, he initially told us to wait for ten minutes, but after we mentioned needing to catch a train, he reduced the wait time to two minutes. He seemed to misunderstand our dissatisfaction, thinking it stemmed from a seating charge. When I clarified that it was his previous actions that were rude, he responded in Italian with a flurry of words I could not understand. Even though he eventually muttered an apology, it felt hurried and insincere.
We do not believe that being Asian tourists should subject us to this kind of treatment. This dinner experience left us quite disappointed with our time in Milan. We hope for improvements in how guests, particularly tourists, are treated, as everyone deserves to feel welcomed and respected when dining out, especially...
Read moreThis was a great place to come in for a pizza with friends. You will find authentic pizza napoletana and it's very very delicious.
Unfortunately, this place was a little ridiculous with their prices as it's a €3 flat service charge per person. Since I went with my husband, just for sitting down it's €6 for the both -__-
Our bill with one beer and two pizzas came out to €37, seems a little bit absurd for a pizza night in Milano. There are plenty of pizza places even giro pizzas (where you get unlimited pizza) and spend less than that with coffee included. However, I'm not here to compare one place from another. Just here to say that the service charge is a little high along with their pizza prices. If you come from America it will seem like no difference, however, if you're in Italy and know that margherita pizzas are only €5 and buffala around €8-€10 then you will know what I mean lol!
Let's talk about the quality and service. Quality of the pizza was great, can only say good things about it! The service was amazing as well. Everyone was very nice to us being such a large group and very patient as well. We really enjoyed coming here just wish they didn't have to be so pricey for a couple of pizzas. I would recommend you coming here if you're in Milano for a little visit especially since it's right near the duomo behind a hidden alley. Totally a good spot after walking all day and...
Read moreMy friend and I had the misfortune of dining here tonight. We picked the restaurant purely for the location, which was the only good thing about the restaurant. I ordered a pizza with buffalo mozzarella, tomato and basil. What came was a disappointment to say the least. The “buffalo mozzarella” was watery and both looked and tasted off, while I also given a paltry 2 leaves of basil. My friend ordered the zucchini pasta which was bland. After eating some of the meal due to being hungry, we tried to complain to one of the waiters but all were more interested in setting up the TV to watch the tennis. When we finally got the opportunity to complain, the staff were downright rude and hostile. The waiter attempted to palm us off by arguing that is what buffalo mozzarella looks like in Italy. I have been travelling in Italy for a month and have had many pizzas since I’ve been here. Every pizza has tasted miles better than this. If you are thinking of dining in this poor excuse of a restaurant, please save your money and eat somewhere with edible food. I wish I could ‘replay’ the moment I stumbled...
