I had one of the worst dining experiences here during my trip to Italy. I ordered the homemade pasta with Pecorino, which cost €18. While the portion size was decent, the quality of the food was incredibly disappointing. The pasta wasn’t al dente it was simply undercooked. The sauce was overwhelmingly salty and tasted only of Pecorino and way too much pepper. It didn’t feel like a proper sauce, more like they just mixed cheese and pepper directly into the pasta with no care.
My friend had a salad, which should’ve been a simple and fresh choice. But the balsamic vinegar used tasted absolutely awful honestly, it was so bad she had to suppress gagging multiple times while eating it. I truly don’t understand how you can mess up something as basic as a salad that badly.
For the prices they charge, the quality is unacceptable. The “homemade” pasta did not taste good at all, and the overall experience left us extremely disappointed. I would absolutely not recommend this...
Read moreI want to share the details of my latest meal at Osteria da Fortunata where asbolutely everything went wrong.
First of all I want there because I had checked there menu and I wanted to eat a specific pasta, that apparently they did not serve that day. So i asked for an other pasta, and honnestly it's not at all homemade quality.
Then I asked for sparkling water but they only have the big bottles. I asked for small bottle of still water, they don't have either. I then asked for tap water, they simply don't serve it.
Then at the end, when I went to pay at the cashier I had the suprise to discover they don't split bill, and ended up paying for everyone.
On top of this, they were rude.
DON T GO THERE, unless you have no other choice, but the place is absolutely not representative of the kindness of italians, or of their...
Read moreStarting this off by saying, don’t always believe everything you see on TikTok. It wasn’t terrible, but it could’ve been better. The cacio e pepe was insanely salty—like, it completely overpowered the dish. I was hoping for that nice balance of cheese and pepper, but all I got was salt. The carbonara was the total opposite—bland and kind of boring. It didn’t have that creamy, rich flavor that makes carbonara so good.
The pasta itself was cooked fine, so that’s something, but the sauces just didn’t hit the mark. For a chain pasta spot, I wasn’t expecting anything mind-blowing, but I thought it would be better than this.
The vibe was okay, and the service was decent, but overall, it wasn’t anything I’d go back for. Not the worst pasta I’ve had, but definitely not something I’d recommend to...
