Panfuwa — Restaurant in Milan

I understand the space is small, with a small kitchen, which leads to long waiting times. I had no problem standing outside for 40 minutes. I understood it’s a “hyped” product and as everything that is very popular, long waiting times come with it. However, what I don’t understand is a staff member that runs the seating area in such a strict and unfriendly way that people were scared to even ask questions. Clients who did asks questions were met with short answers, no apologies over the long wait times and dismissive behavior. When people tried to enter the shop they were told to “wait outside until I come get you” while being pointed towards the door. At no point in my nearly 2-hour experience at Panfuwa (from waiting outside, to waiting inside, to ordering, to eating) did I ever feel welcome.

A place that is supposed to breathe calmness and “kawaii” Japanese vibes has turned into a place where not a single customer had a smile on their face.

The pancakes are good, but be aware they are very filling. You might want to order many as you’re probably starving by the time it’s your turn but they’re very expensive and you won’t...

I was excited but got angry, even tho i am not an angry person. We waited over 1 hour even though there weren't that many people (about 15 to 20 max). It is really small inside. The serving system is really bad. People in front of us in line got the food even before we were able to order. People who were after us in line got to order before us. Wouldn't recommend if you want a nice, cosy breakfast (or you can say lunch, cause you need to wait for over 1 hour) there is a lot to do with the service and time management!!! Got the latte in a plastic cup and single use wooden cutlery, even tho we were sitting inside + got charged 10 cents more for the latte (its not much, but this is NOT alright). Food was ok but not good and really not as good as in Japan. Pancakes didnt taste that nice, it was more...

Recensione onesta e breve: non vale il tempo di attesa.

Sabato mattina, ci mettiamo in fila, di fronte a noi circa 15 persone, inganniamo l' attesa iniziale osservando la preparazione dei pancake dalla vetrina, dopodiché la fila è congestionata, il tempo sembra non passare e ci chiediamo se valga la pena attendere oltre. Guardiamo l'orologio: sono passati 20 minuti. Ci diciamo che MAGARI adesso si sblocca e rimandiamo la decisione. Nel frattempo la fila si smuove, di poco, ma si smuove di qualche passo. Dopo "poco" (altri 30 minuti) riusciamo a raggiungere il bancone. Faccio notare che un gruppetto di 6 persone aveva deciso di abbandonare la fila di fronte a noi. Nel frattempo all' esterno avevamo visto il menù esposto e optato che fosse una buona idea scegliere cosa prendere prima di entrare. Al bancone ci informano che i milkshake non erano ordinabili (causa macchina rotta) e che il gusto al pistacchio non era disponibile. Siamo rimasti delusi in quanto il pistacchio era uno dei gusti che avevamo scelto e ci siamo ritrovati (dopo ormai 50 minuti di attesa) ad ordinare un ripiego. Bastava semplicemente anche del nastro carta da appiccicare sul menù all' ingresso con scritto "non disponibile" sugli articoli interessati. Solo una volta ordinato ci dicono che ci sarà da aspettare ancora un quarto d'ora. Entriamo, ci sediamo e attendiamo ancora qualche minuto prima di essere serviti. Totale un'ora e dieci minuti di attesa.

Arriva quanto ordinato e non rimaniamo delusi. L' ambiente è molto carino e pulito. Vi dico subito che in quanto a sapore il pancake in sé sa molto di albume. Abbiamo provato la versione sia dolce che salata. Personalmente consiglio la versione salata. Straconsigliata la bibita calda al Lotus (biscotto speziato simile a un Pan di zenzero).

Totale 27€ per due pancake e una bibita.

Quindi, tutto sommato il cibo è buono e merita un assaggio, sia anche solo per l'esperienza di provare qualcosa di diverso, ma il tempo in cui si rimane in attesa fuori, senza sapere nulla di quanto tempo ci si impiegherà per riuscire a gustarseli beh...fanno abbassare di molto la mia recensione.

Tornerei? Si, ma a condizione che la fila sia inferiore ai 15 minuti, oltre...forse a farli in casa ci...
