Scalo Farini — Restaurant in Milan

My review based on many visits. Milan is the city of the "Aperitivo", where you can find excellent buffet dishes accompanied by delicious cocktails or an honest beer. This historic place is in this category, offering an excellent "aperitivo Milanese" with many dishes, mostly vegetables. The place is well cared for, with windows and iron parts, somehow reminiscent of the "Scalo Farini", the adjacent trains depot, from which it takes its name. Came out to the bar just for a drink only to find aperitivo was in full swing. Just as some of the other reviewers have mentioned, the food was very healthy and delicious. We were going to move on to a restaurant, but the food on offer here was excellent, so we stayed, had another glass, and enjoyed the buffet. A much nicer way to dine, plus you choose what you want based on what you can see looks attractive and to your liking. The staff were very friendly, and didn't mind our poor Italian, so well done you guys. I am sure the drinks prices were doubled from what they were the night...

Sono stata recentemente con 2 amiche. Abbiamo preso l aperitivo con menù da 20 euro, che prevede 1cocktail o 1 bicchiere di vino, e un mix tra stuzzichini classici (olive, verdure crude, etc) e prodotti più gourmand, come Tortini di riso o polenta. Ottimi questi "stuzzichini", che erano a tutti gli effetti più simili ad antipasti. È una buona soluzione. A metà strada tra l aperitivo spento a base di olive e quadri di focaccia (che comunque c'erano), e quelli degli anni che furono dove mangiavi allo sfinimento.. DAVVERO ottima soluzione. Cocktail fatto bene, con buone proporzioni. Non annacquato come a volte purtroppo capita in altri posti (io ho preso un classico Negroni). Personale simpatico, dinamico e cortese. Ambiente caldo ma non soffocante o umido. Non confusionario. Perfetto per un apertivo a base di chiacchiere e tranquillità. Unica nota negativa il tempo... Ci deve esser stata confusione perché i piatti hanno iniziato ad arrivare dopo parecchio tempo.. Avevamo quasi finito il nostro cocktail.. Abbiamo chiesto nell attesa se c'era qualcosa di pronto come banalmente delle patatine ma nulla.. Forse non c'era nulla di disponibile? Capita che in cucina ci siano confusione e ritardo.. Ma l attesa è terminata solo un secondo prima di diventare davvero fastidiosa.. Una idea potrebbe essere quella di avere disponibili delle alternative da offrire al cliente quelle volte che capita..
