People here hating this “foccacia” with cheese but personally, we loved it. It really depends on the person and subjective reviews of others shouldn’t stop you from trying something you wanna try. Funny because the first time we had spontini was in Japan! And we loved it so much we had to try it here in Milan itself. It’s not your regular pizza. It’s a fluffy thick bread MILANO pizza, and depending on your flavor choice, will probably make or break your opinion on it. If you love cheese, PLEASE, do give it a try- you won’t regret. We ordered the original SPONTINI 1953 with anchovies and it was soooo good. The salty anchovy complimented the cheesiness and sour tomato sauce of the pizza.

It was my first time and I gave it a chance just because it is a Milanese thing. I really don't see the point. 11 Euros for a slice of pizza (although it is giant, too thick and has lots of mozzarella on top) that served with a plastic fork makes you feel stupid once you taste it. You can eat a whole pizza for less. Plus you would feel the real tomato instead of their paste. Maybe - just maybe - if you are in hurry to catch a train then it would be fine.

We were in a hurry trying to catch trains to Rome. Fortunately we found spontini and the pizza-baking-guy was really sweet and helpful, he read the situation and prepared the pizza as fast as possible so that we catched our train. The cashier wasn’t really friendly but it didn’t bother us much after. Good delicious snack for in between, 5€ for a big slice.

We came back from Venice after our honeymoon and getting a pizza here was a nightmare. First, I came in with shopping bags and tried to find a place to put my bags, and someone shouted at me to show the green pass. I came to show my green pass and order some food. I tried to be friendly and ordered in Italian, and a guy at the bar replied aggressively in English. So I switched to English, and I just ordered an amber beer and a pizza. They offered a draft beer, but they said I had to wait because the draft was empty. We only had 30 minutes, so I tried to get a simple bottle but they didn’t let me. After the draft was working they started pouring a Heineken, I asked them to stop. Here comes the best part, I told them that this was not my order and their service was terrible and I just hope their food were better than their service. The response was: “it was your choice to come here”. Welcome to Milan ! 🤦🏾‍♂️ Please avoid this place and go to a...
