1947 Pizza Fritta Napoli — Restaurant in Naples

Very bad service. Me and my friends (4 people) wanted to order a pizza. We set down at the table and we ordered 1 bottle of water. We also wanted to order some pizza but it turned out that we dont have as much time as we expected so we asked for a bill and said that we are not going to order any food because we dont have time. The waitress (very rude) gave us the bill, which was 8€ FOR 1 BOTTLE OF WATER. The water costs in the restaurant 1,50€. When i asked her why its 8€ she said that we are 4 people so 1,50x4 = 6 + 2€ for coperto. Eventhough we didnt eat anything and only 2 people were drinking this water. I told her that its not fair, and she started talking in Italian (eventhough she spoke english before). And all the time she was rude and she said that the bill also includes a toilette (which none of us used). I dont recommand this restaurant. You really dont want to be served by them. The waitress also said that we sat at the table without eating so we „wasted” the table, because other people wanted to eat and they were obliged to wait for THAT table to be free, which is funny because there were literally NO PEOPLE. Im just feeling bad because if your pizza was good you would earn money from selling the pizza and wouldn’t have to scam people like this to earn this 8€, anyways i hope you bought yourself something nice with those 8€ 🤣 I hope you...

Food and drinks were okay. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. However, when I paid, the manager (who I had not yet interacted with) came over and insisted on a tip, on top of the cover charge already included. When I said 'I think I have no change' he insisted that I pull out my wallet and search in front of him. I showed him the wrong currency and he said try again. I would have been happy to tip our waitress but he made it clear the tip was going to him. He then spotted a 2-euro coin and insisted that I give it to him. I scowled at him to make clear that I understood the manipulation because he clearly saw me as a tourist he could get an extra few euros out of. At this point he took the coin and had the audacity to give me a hug to say 'thank you'.

To anybody considering visiting here, prepare to be treated ignorantly by the management and if you want to tip, make sure to put it in the hand of your well-deserving waiter. We have had so many infinitely better customer experiences throughout the whole of Naples.

To the management: treat your staff and your customers with the respect they deserve and expect reviews to reflect your behaviour. I will never recommend or return...

Avoid! We were double charged! We waitied 20 minutes to order, 30 minutes waiting on two pizza frittas and 10/15 minutes waiting on the cheque/bill.. there was only roughly 10/15 other people in the restaurant. When we went to pay we tapped our bank card and everything appeared OK so we walked away to leave and as we were leaving the restaurant a member of staff followed us out and said payment didn't go through, i was sceptical of this as the payment appeared to go through. I tapped again without much thought and we left. After leaving I checked my bank account and found we had paid twice so we went back and showed them the double payment on our online banking app. After a while they eventually gave us the money back for the second charge but with no apology. The staff were the worst we've experienced in any restaurant/city weve been to, be wary of them. We went here because it appeared to have good reviews, Food was 2/5, 3/5 at a push, service was terrible. It seems as if the staff don't like non Italian's/locals. My advice is to avoid here...
