They've got a version of fried pizza all over Naples...It's definitely something you want to try...walking a little bit outside the historic center to Pizzeria d'è Figliole will not only give you that experience but give you the best of that experience.

Most of the fried pizzas (and I realize the term "fried pizza" might be a turn-off here...but this was so good and unique) you see around town are kind of flat...the ones here sort of look like calzones in that they're, umm, let's say "puffy." There's a lot of volume to it and it's light and crispy. It's unique and it's well worth heading here to get it.

We had the "Completa" which had mozzarella, tomato, black pepper and ricotta in it. This one normally comes with a couple of meats and since everything on their menu is made to order they were able to remove those ingredients and accommodate us vegetarians' desire to have a more interesting flavor profile than the basic offering, without the meat.

The two of us also didn't want a large one so they prepared it as two separately fried smaller ones which satisfied our lunchtime appetite without ruining dinner for us.

I'm not sure this was healthy, exactly, for the body, but it sure was spiritually healthy. Pizza taste in a sort of calzone-looking thing, but light, crispy, and just plain delicious.

If you want to try fried pizza in Naples...this is definitely the place you want...

The food is really good and the place is typical (charming/family centered)... but I'm not giving 5 stars because they allowed an artist to perform inside, he was rapping really loudly with his big speaker in the tiny place; and despite the fact that I'm usually drawn to street performances/performers, because I enjoy the shows and I respect their hustle: I was trying to eat peacefully while listening to some music (that I chose) with my headphones. At the end the guy started being really insistent with the "thank you's" while asking for money, and he wasn't really friendly towards people that didn't pay attention to him (I'm sorry but I didn't choose listening to you, I already had plans) Made me feel uncomfortable.

Also, would be nice if they include the beverages in the menu so the prices...

First of all, everyone who works there (at least whom I've seen) are women. So it's already something in male-dominated pizza culture of Napoli.

Second, they make pizze fritte, that is to say not usual pizza from oven, but Neapolitan specialty - fried one, which appeared after WWII. You won't see announcement about this on the door or inside, so just be informed.

And third. I didn't want to try fried pizza, thinking that it's too fat, oily and all that. But hey, this is worth it. If you want to try real pizze fritte, I think this place is for you. Aaaaaaaaand even if you DON'T want to try it (like me) still try. It's simply tasty, really.

Also, like in all other places in Napoli, you'll be charged for sitting/service, so pizza take-away will cost you €5 while...

Charming little spot on a quiet and warm Friday morning only about 15 minutes from Centrale/Garibaldi. A little boy was really made very happy to get his and it wasn’t his first ever. It takes quite some time for them to be made. The staff might be in the middle of taking stock, doing their accounts or keeping up with their very local and loyal community members. And these deep fried pizzas didn’t take over the world, perhaps mostly because they are difficult to share or export into a form you can make in your home. 5 euros to take away. Full of hot steam after cooking that you must be very careful in handling.
