If you come to Naples you definitely should try the Napolitano pizza especially margherita pizza. If you had Napolitano pizza outside of Italy then honestly they tastes the same especially some places I've been to even use imported Italian flour. I came here mostly because it has good reviews. The location is amazing as you are close to the water front even with the throng of people and you are across the street I still think you have good view. The place is supposed to open at 7pm and I see a lot of people lining up before 7pm. The restaurant however didn't open the seating until about 720pm but I guess that's Italy. :) I tried both margherita DOP (everything from Italy) and regular margherita pizzas at this restaurant and I honestly couldn't tell the difference at all. What makes the place special is that pizza is so cheap considering it's at s tourist spot with great view. Currently it's about 8-9 euro a pizza which is ridiculously cheap compared to in the US where each Napolitano pizza is about $26-$28 a pizza + tax/tip so you are looking at 3x the price you pay here. Service however feels so so but I like that you have buttons to press for service/order/pay. I...
Read moreTruly a marvelous experience. The food was incredible, I especially liked the fact that, despite ordering a quite challenging pizza such as the so called "Spakkanapoli" the dough was very well done, to the point that the pizza actually felt light despite all that was going on. You could tell that the ingredients were of a high quality, and that the food was masterfully prepared. The service was good, they were incredibly polite, helpful and quick, I even had the opportunity to talk with the owner, with whom I had a pleasant chat about his potential expansion in other cities after I told him that I came here from the north. The location was very beautiful, with a stunning view of the gulf and the seafront, truly enchanting. The prices were adequate, slightly higher than the average of the city but well justified by the quality and location. I would absolutely recommend this experience, and will be back here as soon...
Read moreThe pizzas were pretty subpar. The fried pizza was warm when it arrived, the pizza dough was too dry, the veg pizza had its toppings ordered very weirdly for some reason, and the taste was just not as good as it should have been(especially in Naples). It was a task to finish just the 2 pizzas even when 4 of us were pretty hungry when we arrived. And on top of this, they didn't serve one of the pizzas we ordered and still added it on the bill. They seemed very surprised when we told them it didn't arrive at the table. Very surprising given the fact that the waiter was always around our table. The Tiramisu though was decent.
On the other hand, its a very chaotic place, so keep that in mind too if you want to go. I would really recommend not to go here as there are pretty good restaurants nearby which serve...
