You enter this establishment from No. 6 Chiatamone, but really it’s on the floor above the main state rooms of 6G Chiatamone, which used to be the home of The Hon. Keppel Craven and his mother, the Margravine of Anspach, back in the early 1800s. This B&B occupies the servants’ quarters of that great house, with a row of good-sized rooms, each with a large window and balcony overlooking Via Chiatamone. They are decorated in a charmingly rococo if slightly tacky fashion, but all very comfortable, with large king beds, couches, a table and chairs, electric outlets over the nightstands, a great A/C unit that is yours to control, mostly sound-proofed windows, a mini-fridge, excellent water pressure in the shower, and a hair dryer. When I stayed, they delivered breakfast to your room every morning, although this consists mainly of bread, e.g. croissants, toast, etc. (in the typical Neapolitan way). There is an elevator from the lobby, but make sure you have 10c with you, as it requires payment to operate. The staff at this B&B are wonderful, I cannot say enough good things about them. They went above and beyond to assist me in everything I asked. The area is very safe, but even so, I appreciated the fact that I was locked behind three doors during my stay: usually the front carriageway door was locked (or guarded by a porter); the B&B was behind a very heavy door on the 3rd floor that was usually locked; and there was a lock and bolt on my room door – all of this unusual for Napoli in my experience. Having said that, the location of Palazzo Chiatamone is one of the best in the city; as someone told me, the area is “the Beverly Hills” of Naples. It is a block from the seaside and Via Partenope with all its millions of restaurants and sea breezes, and within walking distance of all that is great in the Chiaia, Via Toledo and Santa Lucia. This is a cozy place to stay with great staff at a great price. Highly...
Read moreStayed for 7 nights. Arrived early but hotel had been in touch and accommodated us. Place was easy to find and the usual Italian BnB with just one floor of a big building. There is a small lift up to the hotel and a big staircase going around it. Room was light and airy with roomy bathroom and great storage. Air on unit was a must as it was oven hot 36C outside. Even being on quite a busy street the double glassing cut the traffic noise. Both Caesar and Yella? And the rest of the staff we’re great and very helpful. Location is only one street back from the promenade full of great restaurants and a great atmosphere and 20 mins walk to the Metro, 2 stops from the Central station or the port for the boats over to Capri, Sorrento, or Amalfi coast.|Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again as I...
Read moreThere are many wonderful features about this hotel, the two top features are the location and the cleanliness. It was absolutely spotless and the air condition was perfect. The B&B it two streets away from the water and a series of great restaurants. I would not stay near the train station - it had the opposite feel and it would have ruined our trip. We had a lovely breakfast that was included and the price was perfect. ||I would stay here again. ||The only downside is that you need to check in within a specific timeframe (front desk closes). The wifi wasn't always 100% reliable. ||Apart from that,...
