Ristorante Vomero Vienm a truva' — Restaurant in Naples

We had a nice experience at this charming little restaurant tucked away in the heart of Vomero, Naples’ vibrant hilltop district. What really stood out to us was the authentic local vibe — the place was filled mostly with Neapolitan regulars, which is always a good sign when it comes to food!

One of the most unique and enjoyable parts of our evening was that you could actually see directly into the kitchen, and even chat with the chef. That sense of openness and warmth really added to the atmosphere. It felt like you were being welcomed into someone’s home, not just dining out.

We were seated on the mezzanine level, slightly above the main floor, which gave us a nice overview of the restaurant. Although it was a bit tucked away, the waiter came by frequently to check on us, making sure everything was perfect. The service was genuinely friendly, not just polite — the kind that makes you smile.

Now, about the food: the octopus dish was absolutely outstanding. Perfectly cooked — tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You could really taste the care that went into preparing it. Every dish we tried had that same balance of tradition and creativity.

This is definitely one of those special local places that aren’t touristy or overhyped, but truly worth discovering. If you’re in Vomero and want to enjoy authentic cuisine with a welcoming local atmosphere, this is the kind of place you’ll want...

What an amazing restaurant. We came here for our last dinner, and it made our trip to Naples unforgettable. It is a small, atmospheric restaurant with just a couple of tables and menu that changes according to the ingredients they have that day. There was just one waiter and one cook, but both of them took incredible care of us, made us feel at home, chose a specific menu for us. We did not feel as in a restaurant but as if we were hosted in their home. The food was splendid and the prices incredibly reasonable! We paid 20 euros per head for great home wine, varied anti pasta, primi piati, multiple deserts and coffee. I could not recommend this...

One of the best meals of my entire life. We had cod and a seafood risotto. They didn't have half the things on the menu, and we were thinking of leaving, but I'm so glad we stayed. They pulled together something just for us (we don't eat meat) that was totally perfect. The food was indescribably good. You can see the single chef working away in the open kitchen, making magic. They clearly use the best, freshest ingredients. It felt like the most home cooked meal we had on our whole trip. Couldn't recommend it enough.
