Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite only six tables being occupied and at least five staff members present, there was a complete lack of competence in handling problems.
Our ordered appetizer was served to the neighboring table. When I asked if we had been forgotten, the only response was “please wait a moment.” Instead of correcting the mistake, our first main course (primo piatto) was brought out next — still no appetizer. Again, we were told to be patient. Eventually, with significant delays, we were able to enjoy our meal in the intended order. The food itself was tasty, but the poor service left a bitter aftertaste.
There was no apology — not even a simple “sorry” or “scusi.” When it came time to pay, we had to suggest that they could at least offer us a limoncello on the house. While they did bring it and didn’t charge for it, we were surprised to find a “coperti” (cover charge) on the bill.
The neighboring table, who received our appetizer by mistake, didn’t have to pay for it and ended up with a bill that was about half the size of ours, despite having a very similar menu.
Sure, mistakes can happen — but how they’re handled makes all the difference. In many tourist-heavy areas, service seems to be treated as optional because some clueless tourist with a full wallet will eventually show up. But in contrast, Italians — especially in the South — are usually very proud of their traditions and culinary culture. That’s why the lack of transparency and hospitality here was not just disappointing, but also surprising.

We love eating out in Italy and deeply appreciate the warmth, passion, and pride that usually come with Italian hospitality. Which is exactly why this experience stood out — not because something went wrong, but because no one...
Read more2 days later and I'm still dreaming of that Cuzzetiello sandwich!
From the taste of it, all the Ragu used in each of the dishes were also different. And different in a good way!
I got the Cuzzetiello filled with meatballs with ragù. I'm not really a fan of tomato sauce (even tomato sauce pasta), so the fact that I liked this is HUGE! Absolutely beautiful flavor, fresh bread, Large meatballs and the perfect amount of Ragu in there.
FRESH SCIALATIELLI WITH RAGU AND RICOTTA - Ragu had a slightly tangy taste to it. Dad found it a bit too sour so we ended up packing half of it and taking it for breakfast for the next day. I still found it really nice though. Pasta was cooked well and not too al dente.
FRESH GNOCCHI WITH RAGU AND PROVOLA - Husband and brother both ordered this one. Gnocchi was fresh and soft and quite a big plateful of it. The raghu had a slightly sweet taste to it compared to the others.
RAVIOLI WITH RAGU FILLED WITH RICOTTA AND SPINACH - Quite large pieces of ravioli here with a good amount of filling as well. There was a lot of Ragu on the plate here compared to the amount of the actual pasta and the Ragu was fairly oily. :( Otherwise...

I came here by myself 2 days in a row to have dinner.
The overall review is based on my experience over 2 days.
Day 1: Brilliant service, staff was very kind, had the best genovese and fresh pasta, had a House Red, requested tap water, and was served. See the picture above. One of the flasks was wine, and one was tap water. Check check check. Love love love. No complaints.
Day 2: Staff sat me down, I ordered, asked for tap water, I was given a whole explanation on how the water in naples is not safe. One should never ask for tap water...etc.
I was confused, I explained to the wait staff that I was served the previous evening, and he didn't seem to get the point. I had my own water, so I didn't really care. I asked for limoncello and was served Lemonade... YIKES!!!!
Having said that, personally, I liked the gennovese better than the ragu, but dam, was it a good Ragu, saussage was horribly tough!
No complaints about the food. Walking out without the limoncello.
They forgot to serve the cheese in the cover but charged me anyway for it (I honestly couldn't care less for 1 euro or 2) for the second night, so 🤷 service is...
