Osteria La Sparacima — Restaurant in Ostuni

Ci siamo stati in una tipica serata d'estate e la location prometteva davvero bene, in centro sulla piazzetta insieme ad altri ristoranti luce sul tavolo tovagliolato di stoffa (coperto 3€ p.p.)..ordiniamo due antipasti, 2 primi, un contorno, una bottiglia di vino (20€ troppo un bianco di un'etichetta conosciuta e diffusa)...dopo qualche minuto dal personale ci viene comunicato che gli antipasti scelti non erano più disponibili poiché essendo tutto fresco non hanno grosse quantità...no problems! Ripieghiamo su tre primi e un contorno...il servizio seppur puntuale e attento non ha placato l'attesa se consideriamo che uno dei primi piatti era per una bambina e che forse avrebbe dovuto avere tempi più brevi (Piccoli accorgimenti). Arriva il primo piatto con crema di fiori di zucca e vongole veraci (presenti in un numero di 4-5 e non veraci ma giganti)...con un condimento davvero eccessivo e non 'tirato' il sughetto che rispetto alla quantità di pasta (buona porzione)era completamente sbilanciato... passiamo agli altri due arrivati dopo almeno 5 minuti... entrambi avevano orecchiette come tipologia di pasta ma uno al pomodoro(10€) e altro con cime di rapa (fuori menù 17€). Quantità di pasta giusta in entrambi i casi ma quella al pomodoro 'navigava' letteralmente nel sugo, che era buono ma si presentava davvero 'annegata' oltremodo... passiamo al terzo, orecchiette con le cime di rapa con alici (non pervenute se pensiamo alla spinta che avrebbero dovuto dare al piatto!) e mollica di pane soffritta...buono ma era un'orecchietta con verdura di stagione ripassata in padella...la qualità delle materie prime si percepisce ma andrebbe rivista innanzitutto la proporzione tra condimenti e paste e soprattutto con maggiore attenzione ai dettagli in una location di tutto rispetto! ..il contorno ovviamente è arrivato prima dei primi, patate al forno buone senza anche qui cura nei dettagli, presentate con la buccia e a spicchi ma in un piattino con foglio di carta assorbente come se fossero fritte🤔. Dato il luogo meraviglioso andrebbero curati di più i dettagli per offrire alla clientela variegata dei piatti tipici, buonissimi e ben bilanciati! Conto compreso di 2 caffè 83€...da rivalutare...forse una serata troppo...

Wow stay away. The staff here are are the rudest I’ve experienced in Italy. My husband and I were waiting patiently for a table (no cue) when he cut his foot on one of the restaurant steps. He went inside to use the bathroom and was told by a horrible waiter to use the public toilets, we were confused and explained we were still waiting for our table. While we was inside I waited for them to prepare a table and they just ignored me while continuing to make up and wait on other tables. Eventually I said don’t bother and we left to which we faced the obscenities of the staff shouting at us “ciao, thank you goodbye” seeking to embarrass us? The embarrassment is really in this shameful...

Really nice restaurant right in the heart of Ostuni’s historic centre. Just down a few steps from the main square the restaurant serves typical apulian food with little local twists and prepared very well. Obviously an accomplished chef in the kitchen. Portions are generous but not excessive. The restaurant is also very reasonably priced and this place is not a tourist trap price wise unlike the coffee shops and restaurants at the top of the stairs facing the main square. Service is great and friendly in what is obviously a family restaurant. Great...
