I personally find it hard to review this place. I feel that the food deservers a 5 star. It was also fantastic that there was a room upstairs dedicated to breastfeeding and baby changing which includes some toys and free to use diapers. The only point of improvement i find would be to have more lighting, a closed bin and newer toys. Regardless I appreciate what they have offered as most place lacks a simple changing room for babies. Food is fine, nothing special. This is not so much local food more bolognese food. The bigoli freschezza had a lovely aroma but was too cold and the pasta undercooked. Sita nel centro storico, nel vecchio quartiere ebraico, tra suggestive stradelle della vecchia Padova, la “locanda” consiste in una sala al piano terra — e i locali di servizio, cucine e quant’altro — e parte del primo piano, di un antico edificio ristrutturato e adattato. L’atmosfera, informale e accogliente, è quella di un locale “dove si fa da mangiare”, quindi alla buona: tavoli, arredamento, suppellettili e coperto sono in tono con il locale. Avendo una certa età, mi è venuto il dubbio che si chiami “Locanda Peccatorum” perché qui gli avventori “debbono” scontare i propri peccati: infatti, ci si siede esclusivamente su sgabelli, anche se, a onor del vero, a me è stata offerta una sedia che ho rifiutato perché sono uso adattarmi e apprezzare i locali per quello che sono e offrono. Il menù, oltre alle proposte “del giorno”, offre, come era ovvio aspettarsi, pochi piatti della tradizione principalmente padovana e veneta. I piatti sono ben fatti e i sapori sembrano corrispondere.
