Sicilian Goodness - Padova via Roma — Restaurant in Padua

We are on holiday in lido di jesolo. The first time we went there we were going to verona but our first stop was padova to walk around and see the city. My dad is half sicilian and we saw Sicilian Goodness. And i really wanted to taste the arancini. So we just bought 2 arancinis. We didnt know what to expect but it was really delicious. It was so delicious that we decided to visit padova the last time on our last day just to go back there.

This time we asked for canolli. She told us to come back tomorrow because they dont have anymore. But we said we are not there tomorrow anymore. We are going back home. So she told us to wait and she made us 4 diffrent canolli specially for us. I told her about my sicilian roots and they recommended us a granita. She let us taste diffrent kinds of granitas so we could choose the flavour we liked. It tasted really amazing. Also the ice was really good. Of course we also had arancinis and bought also for our way back home.

The shop owner and the workers were the most friendliest people we met in italy. Pretty good english and such awesome service. We told them that we will definitely come back. Our next vacation will be in austria but then we make a trip to padova JUST to come back!

Food is awesome Service is awesome And everyone who works there is really kind and sweet.

Not to bad. Though my husband is venetian, he loves sicilia. He goes often for work in the south. But any time we see a place selling the food we have to stop. Over all the place isn't bad. The girls working here are great except the short girl with dirty blonde hair. She has a major attitude problem with co workers and customers. Maybe she's related to the owner. Or she's there to give Authentic southern charm? I've only been as far south to brindisi. So I can't say anything. Only many tell me people from Naples, Rome and Taranto can have this attitude. Ok. To each their own. I loved Rome. 😍 hope to see Naples when not busy.

Other than that this is a good place. I do prefer the northern Italian style...

Da pugliese non ci siamo proprio! Panzerotto classico molto dolce, davvero disgustoso. Arancini che lasciamo stare, riso completamente spappolato, ho assaggiato 3 gusti, zucca acida, salsiccia passabile e prosciutto ok, ma niente di eccezionale. È un locale che va bene per turisti o gente del posto che non conosce i veri gusti di questi prodotti. Tra l’altro, 3 pezzi 10€, ok che siamo al nord ma il prodotto non giustifica minimamente la spesa. Allego foto dell’arancino che pare purè.

Edit: Salve, non capisco questa sua arroganza nel criticare il mio profilo perché non ha una foto. Non ho problemi a darle nome e cognome per farmi mandare una querela quando ho espresso un mio parere! Non ha commentato il panzerotto però, si è soffermato agli arancini. Visto che come dice lei, non conosco le cose siciliane (spoiler, gli arancini si fanno anche da noi), parliamo del panzerotto? Come vede dal mio profilo non sono solita mettere recensioni a meno che non sia successo qualcosa di grave. Il panzerotto come già detto era DOLCE immangiabile! Dovrebbe avere l’umiltà magari di dire che nella salsa c’era zucchero? Non lo so. Almeno di scusarsi. Non ha commentato l’acidità di quello alla zucca. Vada in negozio a padova e lo assaggi. Non sono qui per buttare fango su un’attività, ma sono stati spesi dei soldi ed è stato quasi tutto buttato. Per quanto riguarda l’arancino al BURRO, ho detto che di sapore non era male ma che il riso era totalmente spappolato. Mi dica, da siciliano, è normale? A me non risulta. Il chicco deve essere ben visibile, ma forse è stato cucinato troppo? Anche qui bastava dirlo. Comunque le recensioni sono visibili a tutti e molti si lamentano dei prezzi. Sicuramente non ci metterò più piede e l’arroganza che avete è la ciliegina sulla torta. Se su 6 pezzi, forse 2 erano passabili e ho elencato le criticità, bastava scusarsi. Comunque se volete vi mando privatamente il nome e cognome su whatsapp per la querela per aver espresso un parere. Le critiche servono...
