If you’re heading to Mondella Beach, we highly recommend getting your drinks and food from this place. The man who runs it is incredibly friendly, funny, and genuinely tries to make sure you’re having a great time. In our opinion, he absolutely deserves your support – he’s the kind of person you just want to see succeed! The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is personal, and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely don’t miss this spot!

we got raw meat, this is unacceptable, especially in this heat. the sandwiches were bad, few vegetables and they were cold!! and no, we couldn't go back because the sandwiches were takeaway. when we started eating them we were at the other end of the beach. please be careful what you serve, because you could poison someone. My review is just a warning to other tourists.

What an incredible find! Sandwiches were fresh, inventive and delicious - pictured here are the l’ubriaco and the Mondello. The owner is a character with so much energy and heart, dancing with us and giving us tastes of various cheeses. My only regret is not having more days in Mondello so that I can come back and try the Pedro. Will have to wait til our next trip!

A small, weather-worn shack in the sand of Palermo – more soul than service, more bar than café, and that’s exactly why it’s unforgettable.

There’s no fuss here. No fancy decor, no perfectly frothed cappuccinos. Just sand under your feet, salt in the air, a cold beer in your hand, and music that doesn’t care if you like it or not. The espresso? Short, strong, bitter – just the way it should be. The people? Direct, warm, a little rough around the edges, but honest. They don’t smile for tips – they smile because you’re part of the scene.

In the late afternoon, when the sun drops low and the light turns golden, life suddenly feels simple. No Instagram angles, no filters – just something real. Unpolished. Wild. Southern Italian.

If you get it, you’ll stay for hours. If you want polish, go somewhere else. But if you’re looking for pure atmosphere – raw, loud, and full of life...

A Hidden Gem by the Beach – La Pina

If you’re anywhere near the beach in Palermo, do yourself a favor and stop by La Pina. This little food stand is an absolute treasure. The chef is incredibly friendly, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. But the real star here is the food — and let me tell you, it’s very, very, very good. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love.

The view is stunning — you can sit back with your meal and enjoy a perfect view of the sea. The whole place has an easygoing, laid-back vibe that makes you want to stay for hours. And the cocktails? Simply excellent. Refreshing, well-mixed, and just what you need to cool down after a swim or a long beach walk.

La Pina captures everything you want from a beachside spot: amazing food, great drinks, a welcoming atmosphere, and unforgettable views. Highly...

Don’t go here. RUN HERE. If you are close to the Mondello beach, and are hungry, then go to La Pina for a great panino. It’s fresh, tasty, filling, and made with care. The freshness is evident. The price is reasonable. The people are good, fun, honest, polite and they play some wicked tunes while you wait. You can hang around and eat or take-away. The cashier is great and the chef is wonderful. They smile and treat you like a valued customer. Thank you guys from the Brazilian guy and his daughter. We bought the Tuna and the Tango. €15. Couldn’t finish it. Mom had to help😂. ( minor observation: I did not see any signs for sodas or juice etc so I didn’t order any but when I was leaving with our food, I saw someone buying a coke. You guys do a great job saving people from eating crappy food elsewhere....
